- garyfotodiverChicago, Illinois56 contributionsMy Last Day saltwater fix.Awoke and went to the pier before sunrise. Parking is not expensive, but it was difficult to read the machine in the dark. I walked along the pier for $2.00, photographing the sunrise and the pier activities. One of my favorite places in S. Florida!Visited November 2020Written December 4, 2020
- Bill LCharleston, South Carolina316 contributionsGreat Walk On The PierAfter dinner near by, my wife and I walked out on the pier. It was night, so we could not see much of the ocean, but the stars were spectacular. The pier is well lighted and looking back at the lit up shore line was worth the $1 per person they charge for “sightseeing”.Visited January 2020Written January 25, 2020
- FLGIRLThe Villages, Florida535 contributionsInternational Pier???Not sure what makes it an international pier as it looks like all the others I have seen in FL and NC. All that I have been on, for the most part, charge a fee; a fee for spectators and a different fee for those who fish. This has a place to eat and naturally a gift shop. Limited parking and I believe metered parking but we walked to the pier from our hotel so no exactly sure of details. Just a block from the pier are other shops and restaurants as well.Visited July 2021Written July 26, 2021
- Ana B1 contributionReally upset about the customer serviceI want to share my story so people be aware of what’s going on with this employee that is not educated about what a service dog is. I went last Tuesday to the pier to walk and I was not allowed to get in with my service dog, I try to talk with this woman about it and she asked me questions about my illness, something cannot be asked by law, she just denied the access, I try to talk to the supervisor and she just shut down the window and never let me read where is not allowed to let service dogs in. I am so disappointed about this situation, honestly I was never treated like that before in my life, she totally ignored me without haven’t fundaments about her decision, and this should not be happening at a beautiful place like this and they should teach all their employees so they stop being rudeVisited February 2021Written February 16, 2021
- Angela MScottsdale, Arizona160 contributionsKinda underwhelmingMaybe I was hoping or set expectations too high. Average pier. A very small shaded area but most of the pier was so packed with fishermen you couldn’t actually stand under that shaded area to get a small reprieve from the sun. Fish bait and guts were all over. Most of the fishermen were super rude and so annoyed people were out there and they had to actually watch how they were casting their lines. Definitely a beautiful view and the water is so clear you can see lots of fish swimming around. Then when you turn around and see the shore and land it’s really beautiful too. Closes at 11pm so be aware if you’re out late ; don’t plan on being allowed to walk out there. It’s $2/person if you’re not a FL resident. My bf grew up here so it was mainly a trip down memory lane for him so definitely worth going for us!Visited September 2021Traveled with friendsWritten September 20, 2021
- stephenestradaAnnapolis, Maryland8 contributionsGreat PierThis pier is in the perfect spot. I didn’t get to fish this time but will definitely bring my gear next time. There were plenty of people catching fish and the pier entrance is in the heart of Deerfield Beach and convenient to everything.Visited June 2020Written June 24, 2020
- Allencrew58 contributionsGreat pierGreat set up with cleaning stations on the pier. Staff was super friendly and once you pay to get on the pier, you can come back all day. Walking on the pier was great and there is an under water camera off the end. Definitely will return.Visited February 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten February 8, 2023
- Vadim RygalovDeerfield Beach, Florida7 contributionsInternational Fishing Pier in Deerfield Beach, FloridaPerfectly located and equipped IFP is a marker and serves as a face for The City of Deerfield Beach. This facility provides and supports variety of activities and is capable to satisfy very sophisticated needs starting from fishing and finishing with snorkeling and SCUBA-diving. Right next to IFP (a little toward to the north) very diverse Turtle Reef or Boundary Reef is located, and this reef is easily reachable from the shore.Visited September 2020Written October 16, 2020
- Stephany DCampinas, SP31 contributionsNice pier to walk. We did not pay to enter on Christmas, but it seems is 1$. We parked free on the cove shopping center.Nice pier to walk. We did not pay to enter on Christmas, but it seems is 1$. We parked free on the cove shopping center and walked for 15min to get here. I think maybe we did not pay cause we did not have access to the full pier, the final small square was closed.Visited December 2022Traveled with familyWritten December 25, 2022
- MJ SSudbury, Canada201 contributionsPier perfectTaking a stroll along the pier is a relaxing experience. There are a lot of benches in case you want to sit and enjoy the view. You are able to fish from the pier and there are several fish cleaning stations and waste receptacles available. The pier is very clean and does not smell "fishy". There are rods available for rent and bait is available at the pier store. It costs $1.00 to enter the pier. This is a great spot to take a stroll and enjoy some fresh air!Visited January 2020Written January 8, 2020

It only cost a buck per person to walk on the pier. The water is crystal clear and beautiful! Lots of birds on the ledge. People fishing along the pier but more at the end of the pier. We saw a sea turtle, large school of fish, 2 sharks, and some kinda eel/snake in the water. It's an amazing walk over the water without getting into a boat. My only complaint is trash. I picked up more trash on the pier than should've been aloud! People clean up after yourself so it doesn't go into our beautiful clean oceans! There are plenty of trash cans on the pier! Overall loved the pier!

This is a great place to take the whole family and for a modest $2 you can hang out on the pier and watch the boats, fishing or just enjoy the views of the Blue water!!!!!!

It is a nice way to be out over the water without being on a boat. You have to pay to walk out on the pier. Fishing from the pier is allowed with restrictions. Parking is scarce.

This is a nice long pier. Admission is just a dollar/pp. It offers great views up and down the coast. There are benches for relaxing on the pier. If you are fishing the admission is $4/pp.

We thought twice about having to pay for access but pleasantly surprised that it was only a dollar. We went at dusk whe there was a lot of fishing action. Nothing special, but a nice place to relax and waste some time.

We liked walking on the pier. The entrance cost is $1. The only thing we disliked was the fact that it smelled like fish.

We've been there at night an it looks gorgeous! The lights give it such a romantic feel. Just stay away from the fisherman, they can ruin the mood!

$1.00 admission to walk pier and fish. We were just lookers, fun watching people fishing, plenty of different fish to see in the clear water, while also watching everyone swimming or buggy boarding.

Alcohol is not permitted on the pier if I recall, but I have no idea about a crab trap. It's pretty high above the water, and I didn't see anyone else doing this, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. But no alcohol.
Can children over 11 go on the pier to fish without an adult

They charge a dollar to go on the pier but Check with website to see if there is an age limit for fishing. Also check if a fishing licence is necessary

I see the hours the pier is open on Friday 6am-12am. Then on Saturday 24hours ! :) Which I would certainly believe then since Saturday has 24 hrs and the pier is open 24 hours on Saturdays that the pier is open from at least 12:01 am till 11:59 pm. 24 hrs yes ? So Fridays it really doesn't close at midnight ? :)

Take Hillsboro Blvd. all the way east until you hit A1A. The pier is on your right side nearly in front of the Wynham Hotel. Enjoy!
