Rip off they charge a fee just for visitors to the area and adjacent hotel, just to walk out on the pier (non-fishing). Disappointing!

We love this fishing pier. Its $1 to walk out on it and good for the day. Fun to watch people fish and just watch the ocean. Close to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend if you are there to walk the boardwalk or beach.

Ocean waters were full of white caps and wind. it just did not look like a pleasant weather today and yet taking My chances renting a rod with bait and walking out to the end of the pier turned out to be a pleasant warm breezy experience. the fish unfortunately are somewhat smart and seem to have a knack of taking the bait without getting caught. Such are the chances you take with fishing

The pier has a small building on it where you can pay $1 to walk out on the pier or $4 to fish from it. They will rent you some gear if you didn’t bring your own.
It is about 300 meters long, so it goes out above some pretty deep water. There is an underwater camera attached to the pier which is available for viewing online at the City of Deerfield Beach website. Makes a great screensaver.

The Deerfield pier is a great place to walk and watch the ocean and enjoy the fresh air. It is also a very productive fishing pier. On my last visit a fisherman landed a 4’ King fish!

For only $1 per person, I HIGHLY suggest you take a stroll down the pier after dinner, just before sunset. The views were breathtaking. The pier was busy but not crowded. A diversity of people with a generally friendly atmosphere. The only draw back was, some of the more serious anglers seemed to be annoyed by the walkers like us. We did our best to give them space but overall, it was a great experience.

Great views and affordable. If you want to try your hand at fishing for about $16.00 you can get a rod and bait but no knife. For liability reasons they will not rent a knife so bring your own or borrow one from the other folks out there who are generally very willing to lend it.

Not sure why they charge you $1 to walk on the pier. It was nice to see the people fishing but still not sure why you have to pay

Deerfield Beach Pier is a must if you enjoy fishing piers. Being able to walk a far distance into the ocean and look back at the city lights is an amazing sight. This pier is very well kept. With a small fee, you can not only watch for ocean life but take in the warm salt water air. Very enjoyable!

Alcohol is not permitted on the pier if I recall, but I have no idea about a crab trap. It's pretty high above the water, and I didn't see anyone else doing this, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. But no alcohol.
Can children over 11 go on the pier to fish without an adult

They charge a dollar to go on the pier but Check with website to see if there is an age limit for fishing. Also check if a fishing licence is necessary

I see the hours the pier is open on Friday 6am-12am. Then on Saturday 24hours ! :) Which I would certainly believe then since Saturday has 24 hrs and the pier is open 24 hours on Saturdays that the pier is open from at least 12:01 am till 11:59 pm. 24 hrs yes ? So Fridays it really doesn't close at midnight ? :)

Take Hillsboro Blvd. all the way east until you hit A1A. The pier is on your right side nearly in front of the Wynham Hotel. Enjoy!
