Mock Draft Mondays
Unless you either do a lengthy 7 rounder or go into written detail on why you are making the picks please post your mocks in Mock Draft Monday. Use this thread to post your own mock drafts, and any mock drafts from around the web you think are worthy of discussion.
This thread will remain a weekly staple in the hope that it will clear up some of the clutter that within the sub. You can also post any blog or website mocks in mock draft Mondays. Lastly a reminder that saying a pick in a mock draft is "stupid" does nothing to the conversation. Explain why a team might not draft a prospect or flaws in the prospect. Every real life GM makes terrible draft picks also. Post Away!

I'm a simple man, I see young fall to the lions, I upvote.
The more we upvote, the more it makes it real, right?
Everytime I see Winfield jr to the dolphins I like
Good on the first pick for the Vikings with Jeff Gladney but a miss on the second. We have two elite safeties already in Harrison Smith and Anthony Harris so a safety would not be likely. We have large needs on offensive line and wide receiver. WR Denzel Mims or tackle Austin Jackson would have been more logical picks at 25. Alternatively DE A.J. Epenesa or G Caesar Ruiz would have been good choices as well.
Thanks, I'm trying to familiarize myself with team needs more.
I can't hate on this
Really don't think thats enough of a trade for washington to miss out on young for
Yeah, making trades even is still a weak spot for me. May need to replace this year's 4th with a 2021 2nd, I'm not sure...
Here's my latest 4 rounder, includes a couple trades. Suggestions/feedback certainly welcome.
I really like this haul for the Eagles, Shenault and Mins should be a great duo in the future, and we fill defensive needs at our secondary. I also like the Dilon pick to fill out our RB room and the OT depth pick.
Yeah our OT depth is quietly kind of a huge concern right now, I'm 100% pulling for Mailata to succeed but would be terrified if we had to plug him in during a regular season game.
I'm not a fan of the Epenesa pick for the Vikes. Maybe he'll be good at 3T, but we generally do not draft DL in the first two rounds. The only exception in the last 15 or so years has been Shariff Floyd, who was a top 10 talent that fell to us in the 20s.
I'd much rather take Gladney, who is not only talented and physical, he's the perfect culture and scheme fit for our team.
Personally, I'm also not a fan of taking Jefferson in the 1st just because I'd rather get value later at that position. But I get it.
Assuming the board has fallen to where it is at that point, I do like the Arnette pick. I think he's gone really under the radar with the Okudah hype. Same with Elliott, although Elliott + Epenesa is a bit of a redundancy. I think they'll both end up playing basically the same position on our defense.
Great Bills draft
I would be very happy with this as an Eagles fan.
I may be slightly biased.
I think Delpit is a little undisciplined for a Pats pick, but I can also see there is a shit ton of talent there and I'm confident BB could coach him up to be more disciplined. Epenesa a safer pick in that spot though.
I don't really get the Hunter Bryant pick at 87. Yes he is a "tight end" but he doesn't really do what the Pats ask of their TEs. I'd rather have moved up a few picks to secure Kmet. Or really any other tight end at that spot who at least has a chance of developing enough blocking ability to be an in-line tight end. Hopkins, Albert O, Trautman.
Love Kareem at 98
Love taking a shot on Eason with pick 100. He and Stidham truly compete and the best man wins. You hope you have at least a future pro bowler from the pair. If not, keep picking a mid round qb every year
Love Devin Duvernay. The Pats need someone with speed. He is raw right now, but he shares a similar athletic profile to Golden Tate. I could see that as a reasonable development goal.
I'll take a 3.5 out of 5, the Pats are hard.
yes, i should have said before, this was a fun mock to read through
No worries at all - this was solid feedback it's not like you just bashed the picks you thought could be improved. Appreciate you taking the time to help make the next one better.
If the Ravens trade up to take Murray with Epenesa on the board. It will be big sad time for me.
I suppose Judon and Campbell are both short term solutions, that’s definitely fair.
LB might be the toughest position to gauge this year.
This is my dream draft for Miami. I'm framing this
Thank you snapple__facts, very cool!
Pretty solid for LAC
Good draft for the 49ers. I would be happy if it turned out like this on draft night.
I have the exact same first 15 as you lol, great mock I love murray but not sure if we'd trade up to 21 for him.
Ha thats funny, feels like we have reached the time of year where we all have it figured out then by 8:45 during round 1 everyone is completely wrong.
I just think the idea of the Eagles trading up is overdone and wanted to explore going the opposite direction, since the Ravens have an extra 2nd I thought they were a logical partner but I can see how it's unrealistic/wishful thinking.
Looks good! Wouldn't surprise me if we address Edge or OT with at least one of our first two picks, but if we get cam dantzler and cam akers I don't think you'll find anyone complaining!
I think Muti is a huge reach at 33 personally, but the rest of the draft looks great for the Bengals.
How did Detroit get 133 from Seattle? Otherwise like the draft for Seattle, even if I’d briefly consider suicide if they took Okwara before Lewis or Greenard
Oh shit good catch - in an earlier version I had Detroit trading up from 35 to 27 and that was part of the deal .. needs to be reversed back to Seattle.
Almost Ideal Giants draft!
Sold me with Akeem-Davis Gaither.
Overall, solid draft for the Packers imo. I'd be fine with the Reagor pick, but i'm a little higher on Aiyuk as a player/prospect. Taken 1 pick after the Packers in this scenario.
Higgns and love in rd2 for Indianapolis would be best case scenario
Seems unlikely but CB Okudah, DT Kinlaw, DE Greenard and RB CEH would be amazing.
My first official crack at a 4 round mock. No, I haven't scouted all these players. About halfway through the 3rd I started relying more on scouting reports. There are a few spicy takes and more than a handful of picks that I'm sure will ruffle some feathers, so let me have it.
Giants traded their 3rd rounder to the Jets
I absolutely love this for the Lions
Dude...yes.
I'm typically against trading up for one of the big 3 WRs but the later round picks look solid from a talent/need perspective.
Would actually be really happy with this for my Eagles, thanks for sharing.
Why Fulton over Henderson?
While it's hard to argue against Henderson's upside, I absolutely hate his lack of contribution in the run game. It's like having 10 guys on the field. Fulton might not be a superstar run defender either, but I think his flaws in the run game are fixable and small enough to look past. In terms of pure coverage, I do really like Fulton's ability there. His combine helped qualm fears about his subpar athleticism, and his hips look good on tape.
I don't think that takes him out of the running for Denver tbh. Mike Klis, who is Elways mouthpiece just said in his latest mock(link at bottom)
"If the top 3 receivers are off the board, Broncos should consider cornerback C.J. Henderson, Florida (second CB off the board)."
https://www.9news.com/article/sports/nfl/denver-broncos/mike-klis-mystery-mockster-2020/73-57cad6af-fe8d-4bbe-8477-06e0f214a993):
That trade up with MIN feels like an underpay by the Colts.
Little wishful thinking there that the bengals would take Muti leaving Ruiz for your vikes eh?
You think Jordan Elliott is a first round player?
I think one of Blacklock or Elliott will go near the end of the first round
I like the Pats draft
This is a great mock, would love to see GB do that
Absolutely love this for the lions, would prefer DPJ over Edwards in the third but otherwise it’s a dream scenario
Yes fucking please
Muti over Ruiz? Hard pass.
Muti might be a better player. You just need to have a mystic healer on your staff.
Best mock I've ever seen for the Lions
Best realistic mock I've seen in such a long time for the lions
Jalen Reagor dropping to 46 seem very far imo.
I do really like the tape aside from the drops, but I don't think teams view him as high as you or I might. Plus, I think a lot of WR needy teams in the 25-45 range are more in need of a red zone chain mover than a field stretcher. Where would you have him go in this iteration?
Damn you’re really high on Muti huh?
Solid draft for the Chargers tho
I’d be down for this as a Seattle fan. I’m a bit lower on Tyler Johnson but I still like him as a guy who can get open on Russ’s trademark buying time scramble drills. Everything else fits value and need to me. Solid mock
Ouch, not looking good for us Bills there! CB is a need but not keen on Arnette, our OL need is primarily RT so don't need someone like Matt Hennessy who's projected to be centre.
Arnette is okay at 54. You can also argue for J Johnson, Dantzler, Hall, Dugger, Chinn, Dobbins, Akers, etc. But Arnette is in that conversation. Hennessy would be good value at 86 but based on the above I obviously would prefer Dugger or Akers.
This is my nightmare scenario, but you didn’t do anything wrong necessarily, just how the board fell
I wish this would be the outcome!

I’d cry if we did this
Yeah me too. I dont think we will trade if it involves a future pick. One of the 4 OTs is a must for us to protect Danny and we cant trade down that low.
If Buffalo could snag a steal pick at corner or maybe DE at 86 this would be amazing considering we got Taylor at 54
Doubt the raiders make that trade with Henderson and Fulton on the board.
Getting Lamb and Henderson in the first would be an A+ for us.
jaylon johnson looks better than henderson to be honest. henderson is athletic but lacks technique at times, fulton would be okay, and i doubt we trade a first for one second and a second for the next year, thats terrible trade value.
I don’t see Ruggs making it to 16. If the Eagles were to trade up they’d probably have to go at least to 13.
quick 1 rounder with a couple of trades
Trades
Miami gives 5 & 26 to move up to 3 for Tua. I know Dolphin fans hate giving up the extra first, but I see it as a necessity with LAC needing to give up a future first to be competitive to get Tua.
Don't love the board for the Jags at 9. Move back 5 spots and the Bucs come up and get an OT to protect Brady giving up 14 and 76
The Pats will take a QB in the draft. Just not Jordan Love at 23. Instead the Colts jump up ahead of the Saints and get a guy to sit and learn behind Rivers for a year. IND gives up 34 and 75. I could see the Pats using a 3rd or later to pick up one of Eason/Fromm/Hurts/Gordon
Didnt love the board for the 49ers at 31. Panthers move up to try and do the impossible, replace Luke Keuchly. They give up 38, 113, and 221 to do so.
CIN - Burrow
WAS - Young
MIA - Tua
NYG - Simmons
DET - Okudah - trade back and still get their guy
LAC - Herbert - consolation prize to Tua
CAR - Derrick Brown
ARI - Wirfs - love the idea of CeeDee here but not enough of a need with DHop now
TB - Wills
CLE - Thomas - I heard you get upvotes for this pick
NYJ - Becton - look at this run on OTs!
OAK - Jeudy
SF - CeeDee Lamb - defense was good enough last year. Another weapon for Jimmy G
JAX - Kinlaw - trade back and still get a defensive anchor
DEN - Ruggs - Lock is just gonna throw it as far as he can and Ruggs will get there
ATL - CJ Henderson
DAL - Kristian Fulton
MIA - Josh Jones - an OT to protect their new QB
OAK - McKinney
JAX - Delpit
PHI - Justin Jefferson
MIN - K'Lavon Chaisson
IND - Jordan Love
NO - Jeff Gladney
MIN - Laviska Shenault - not exactly the same style but her is Diggs' replacement. should be great once he is healthy
DET - AJ Epenesa
SEA - Yetur Gross-Matos
BAL - Murray
TEN - Neville Gallimore
GB - Ross Blacklock
CAR - Patrick Queen
KC - AJ... Dillon RUNNING BACK... just kidding... I know you guys are sensitive about this pick lol... for real though I'm going AJ Terrell, CB from Clemson
Would love your input/feedback/discussion!
I'd say TB jumping from 14 to 9 will probably take more than a 3rd.
That said, I'd 100% be on board with that trade for Willis
You're right I messed up the math on that one. Under value by about 40 points. Theyd need to throw in their 4th round comp pick to make it work, but that's still worth it IMO
So who does NE take at 34?
I hadnt really thought about it. Most likely another trade down to get more picks. No qb id want at 34. Kind of a reach for Kmet. Maybe Mims but I think he is too similar to Harry although a better athlete. Maybe someone in the 2nd round tier of OTs.
lul at our description
Accurate but still
Winner!

I'm all for trading up for Tua, but 3 firsts?!
Yeah that trade is absolutely terrible. If the price ever got that high the Chargers would've left the table a while ago. Plus, with that many picks moving I figure the Chargers would be getting back a 2021 2nd and maybe 2-3 other 3rd/4ths which at that point it would just be silly.
Tua's injury history + the inability to coordinate medical visits precludes the price to trade up for him from getting that high.
You gotta outbid the fins
Comment deleted by user
You can outbid them at almost any point, it depends on how much you want to give up immediately.
We can offer 2 firsts and a 2nd without even batting an eye. Certainly we could offer a lot more if we're really that scared of losing out on Tua.
Eason over epenesa Delpit and McKinney is a horrible move for us we shouldn’t be making massive reaches on QBs who don’t fit what we look for at all.
I could see it if, say, Herbert fell (unlikely, obviously). But, yeah, Eason probably isn't worth 23.
Wow that LAC trade is expensive. I'm pretty comfortable moving up for Tua, but I don't know that I'm that comfortable, especially with our inability to have a pre-draft visit and evaluation. Kind of hurts then seeing Miami trade down and het Herbert at 21. I'd prefer to do that or take the Indy approach and move up to 22. Obviously the point is to show the ripple effect of if LAC were to trade up for Tua and Miami didn't want Herbert but this is painful as a Chargers fan.
Wirfs, Thomas, Wills, and Simmons being off the board at #10 is a nightmare scenario for the Browns, but I like the trade down for Jones.
I'm all about the Chiefs addressing LB early in the draft but doubling up at the position with the first two picks doesn't seem likely.
Where are the RBs?
Free Falling
This was a really fun mock. and then I got to 23... who honestly thinks Eason is a 1st round talent? You think Bill Belichick of all people is going to reach for need?
Belichick is literally on record saying he doesn't "get" drafting for need.
