My Inspection of reel When I turn the handle the reel operates very well. The handle knobs are free. The spool. Line guide, worm gear, and drag all work well. Clicker button engages and dis-engages properly. Clicker is loud. This reel is complete no missing parts. Cosmetics: Minor scratches. The spool. Side covers, and foot are all are very clean. As you inspect reel you can see I have not made any modification. Disassembled or cleaned this reel in any way. This is the way I bought it. Please note I am not the original owner; I picked this one up from an auction awhile back. Paid too much of course. My loss can be your gain! Lovely Antique Wooden Fishing Reel with Antique/Vintage White Silk Line
This is a lovely display item. An antique wooden fishing reel complete with a full spool of silk fishing line of very complex construction. The reel is 10 cm diameter and is quite a simple construction- the wing nut simply holds it together and there is no apparent adjustment of drag. I have shown the internal view of the reel dismantled in the pictures for the experts to judge. The line is interesting in that it has a twin core inside a braided exterior making it extremely strong. Again, I have shown the detail as I know very little about this sort of equipment. This reel can also be seen mounted on the line drier/winder that we are selling separately and we will refund any saving in P&P to a buyer who does win both items. With natural light tarnish(see clear pictures to decide before bidding) It is a nice brass fly reel with intermittent check, full working order and a nice example of a brass reel. Vintage Garcia Mitchell 410 High Speed Fishing Reel. The serial number looks like G248209(1977) T he reel has some paint loss. On the foot. The cover plate Garcia Mitchell 410 is fairly good. The bail arm chrome is bright with some marks and wear. The anti reverse works as it should. The plastic handle is the black torpedo type. The arm is the aluminium screw type. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE FISHING REEL BY MULLOCH OF PERTH. A good 4 inch. 10.5cm side casting fishing reel by Malloch of Perth. Constructed from brass, designed to exchange the drum by removing a screw. It has a sprung steel catch to change from casting to retrieving the line and also from left to right handed use. The large guide eye remains stationary on the fixed arm allowing the line to pass through in which ever position the reel is being used. The convex surface on the flange on the casting side assists in the escape of the line. The Malloch’s Patent oval logo is stamped on the winding plate. Peter Malloch was born in Almondbank. Near Perth in Scotland in 1853. With his brother James they went into business in 1875 as Taxidermists and fishing tackle suppliers. This S& A Steelite Fishing Reel does need a clean but is still in good working order. It has a REG NO of 1869 and a date of 29.04.31 which I assume is when it was made. It has a diameter across the front of 4 and 1/8 Inches. It has a diameter across the back of 4 Inches. Total width is 1 and 1/2 Inches with an internal width of 5/8 of an inch. V good boxed vintage allcock stanley threadline casting fishing reel + spool
for sale here is a very good good allcock stanley threadline reel. Overall excellent as can be seen with most paint finish still intact, no damage dents buckles or flaws at all, rarer model in fine collectors condition, comes in original box which is also very fine, comes with spare spool too, all in perfect and original working order. very smooth wind, normally these reels are pretty rough and corroded but this one is a really nice mechanically excellent and clean and tidy example of a rare reel this one. even comes with threadlines on both spools. please see my other listings of hardy and other vintage fishing items this week.

Vintage Garcia Mitchell 410A High Speed Fishing Reel. The serial number looks like J107- 1979) T he reel has minor paint loss. The spool transfer is fairly poor with some losses. The cover plate Garcia Mitchell 410A is fair with some paint loss. The bail arm chrome is fairly bright with some marks and wear. The anti reverse works as it should. The plastic handle is the grey torpedo type. The arm is the aluminium screw type. The spool fitted is a medium spool with a grey clutch adjustor. The spare is a medium spool with a black clutch adjuster, which is in a cracked spool pot. It is a good serviced vintage Garcia Mitchell 410A fishing reel. If you have any questions please ask.
