The food was excellent, especially the meat - grilled to perfection. The staff was very attentive and could provide great insisdes regarding wine choices. The kitchen brought us a platter with appetitzers, although they did not have this platter on the menu, they are very...flexible with extra wishes. All in all, a great meal, we will be back!More

After making an easy reservation through the website we ended up arriving at the restaurant a little bit early. This wasn't a problem. The staff welcomed us very friendly and showed us our table. The food was simply very good. The taste was pure and...the steaks were perfectly cooked. All in a good size and with the appropriate side dishes. The waiter advised us a very nice wine to accompany our main dishes. A very big plus. After a talk with the owner he suprised us after diner with a local dessert to try for us. It was very tasty, the only downside was that the portion was to big so we didn't end up finishing it all ;) Whenever we visit Frankfurt in the future we surely be back for another visit :)More

The quality of the meat is outstanding, it is masterfully cooked, seasoned and presented in very generous portions. The soup of the day that often precedes the main course is always intriguing and delicious. The service is friendly, attentive and prompt, but always discrete and...never too intrusive or annoying (which I hate when it happens.) They know their job. The environment is superb, perfect for relaxing dinners with relatives, spouse and/or friends, and also for business dinners of any level. In short: this little restaurant is a jewel, for sure the best steak house in Frankfurt, and quite possibly also one of the best in Germany. Highly recommended. Note: I go to this restaurant very often and this review actually reflects my accumulated experience, and are not the impressions of a single visit.More

I suppose I should preface that I judged this place based on a traditional american steakhouse which may not necessarily be fair to do but it certainly has a similar setup. The venue is small but our reservations were accommodated by some enclosed outdoor seating...that was warm and well furnished. I liked the staff and the service was excellent. I had the escargot starter which was way larger than I expected. I think for 18 euro you're getting like 10-12 escargot in there with a lot of sauce so its enough for a table of 4 to share easily. For our mains I went with the Nebraska ribeye 10 oz med rare and my partner went for the filet royal also med rare. The steaks were cooked well although I would consider mine a little under. Not a big deal I don't mind a rare steak I just think it is a little colder in the middle prepared that way. Both steaks lacked salt, and the ribeye had a dry aged taste to it that I don't care for personally but others might since I know thats a thing in the steak community. I have tried it every way possible and I just never got a taste for the dry ageing so if you're into that you would probably really enjoy the steak. The filet itself just lacked flavor in general. The royal comes with a sauce topping that is very good but if you're looking for pure flavor on the filet alone it comes up a little short. I also had the grilled vegetable and creamed spinach sides which I highly recommend. I'm sure their potato sides are delicious but neither of us tried it. I think my main reason for a lower rating here is my expectations vs what was delivered but its a very good restaurant and I do suggest trying if you're looking to get a classic steakhouse meal.More

Prices are high which would be ok if food and setting were met. Restaurant is small, you enter and the first impression is left over clothing from guests on a rack. Waiter is friendly, green pass is checked without bar code reader, tables stand really...close together. Steaks are ok, a bit dry. Wine selection abundant. Salad is served in plastic bowl, sorbet in porcelain cup which is chipped. If I pay 300 EUR for 4 pers. (only 2 had wine) then I expect more. Really annoying: majority of guests wear no face masks at all. Waiters have it at least to cover their chin. Parking is very difficultMore

Amazing service! Three of us walked in just after closing time. They reopened the kitchen and served us with a delicious soup starter, fresh, crusty bread, followed by the most incredible chateaubriand I've ever tasted, complete with mashed potatoes with parmesan and sweet potato fries....I cannot rate this place highly enough.More

Arrived for 6 pm reservations but they couldn't find my name. They still sat us. Once seated the service was good. Dinner was great. Got the chance to meet the owner which added to our experience. We received the Broccoli Soup complimentary and it was...delicious. Also received a complimentary dessert also amazing. Thank you for the experience I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Also met some really nice ppl that sat by us and we ended up taking a walk after dinner.More

This was our favorite restaurant during a two week trip through Switzerland and Germany! I’m a big fan of steak and this was the best truffle steak we’ve ever tasted. The cut of filet was solid but the spices and truffle flavoring were absolutely incredible!...Little things this restaurant did were things like a nice complimentary soup and bread before the meal. Staff were also attentive and extremely friendly. This restaurant was an absolute gem and would highly recommend!More

We got lucky as there was one parking lot belonging to the restaurant which was free for us. Otherwise it can be difficult especially in Sachsenhausen to find a parking lot. This, however, is it the most noteworthy aspect. The neighborhood and the building of...the restaurant are actually quite ugly, but once you enter you feel good and welcome. The service is friendly and offered us the best available table. The wine list is quite okay especially for a steakhouse as there are some Californian options. The menu itself is quite varied with for example mozzarella on papaya with mango pesto or grapefruit with shrimps and rucola, which were both tasty and refreshing. As mains there is a multitude of Steak options but also fish or vegetarian option like pasta with truffles. We had steaks that were prepared to our liking. Overall a good experience even though not on the cheap sideMore

Terrible entree, they wanted to charge us 22E per person for a plate of lettuce. Then we ordered 6 rib eyes medium rare, they were cremated..... 6 more came and they were blue. Waiters didn't top up wine and we waited 2hrs for the first...steaks. Terrible doesn't start to explain how bad it was!More
