    What a special hill
Great grooming , fun runs, wonderful views and not crowded . My family and I skied 5 different hills in a week in the Saguenay and recommend you don’t miss this one if you are in the region.

Lots of easy trails around to walk. The SEPAQ site has an amazing beach, very family-friendly, the sand and the water are super safe to walk / swim in. A very scenic lake during the sunset !

In back of the visitor center is the start of the trail we walked - the Sentier Notre-Dame - Kapatakan trail. It climbs about 400 feet over a very rocky trail. We found it to be one of the more difficult trails we hiked. The views of the fjord are spectacular, especially for the fall colors on October 13th. They tell me that this is a bit late for the colors.

This bridge, as well as the nearby Shipshaw power plant, were built as part of Canada's war effort to increase the aluminium production of the Arvida plant during WWII.
You have a nice view of the Shipshaw River joining the Saguenay Fjord

Stopped by this lovely shop to find the artist hard at work creating beautiful hand printed textiles on linen. Her shop is also her studio and she creates cushion covers, hand towels, napkins, totes and other items by hand, silk screening her unique and lovely animal and plant designs. She speaks a bit of English enough to know she is a creative and kind spirit. Really enjoyed our stop at her shop and hope to return very soon.

I went there with my mother who is now 85 and we both enjoyed the history of the place. It was a very interesting visit. Was nice to see there are still people out there who care about the Catholic Religion and are able to explain the history such in a way that it brings you back in time.

We were given a tour of the homes just outside of the museum that adhered to the designs of the company houses built in 1928 when the town was founded. Charly was both knowledgeable and captivating. Inside the museum, there is an interesting display of photos spanning Arvida's early days. I highly recommend this museum.

Visited the cross of sainte anne and is a decent viewpoint. Its a nice lookout location and gives a nice view of the town. Worth checking out when in the area.
