in response to Blackheart: Ever think that Mr. Hawking doesn't care about his physical situation? He only has one life to live, and he wants to understand something that the current world cannot comprehend. His clock is ticking, and he wasn't given enough time to think in the first place. Thinking about stuff like himself would be a waste of his time, and an impedence to his progress.
Now, it's true that the scale of the IQ test stops at a certain point, so it is TECHNICALLY impossible to score higher than the top scale quotient... but RELATIVELY a higher Intelligence Quotient is plausible.
My official IQ is 167, which I am happy with, being only 15, and in poverty; it's not like it will be hard to exceed everyone's expectations for me, and my expectations for myself. However; I have scored 193 three times, and 204 once. This shows how indefinite the IQ test truly is, but on the otherhand, I have never met an idiot with a relatively high IQ.
IQ measures logic, your depth of thinking, it doesn't mean everything when it comes to intellect, but it definitely has some large value. So everyone, stop being so blatantly negative about IQ tests. Odds are that you have scored lower than you would have hoped, or have never taken an IQ test due to your close-minded ideology on them..
For those who apply to the latter case; There is no better reason to take an IQ test than just to do something when you are bored. So stop being stuck up, and just take one. Or ignore me, like you should.
I find it sad to live in a world where some of the stupidest people are in honors classes, mainly because they are good workers. I know they have a great, and valuable trait, but something should be done with the current education system.
Look at it this way, in High School, you are required to take an English class every year. I know, English skills is a must have in this world, and for a good reason, but don't you agree that the school systems would produce more efficient, and skilled thinkers if more than one and a half years of MATHEMATICS were required during High School?!
There are people graduating school with amazing AP English and AP History grades, and generally a large amount of musical backgrounds, a few EC classes here and there, but (and I see this a lot) they have only reached Algebra A or B during their HS years... Some bother to get past Geometry, and maybe even Algebra 2..
A lot of these people are sterotypical honors student, who may be a little smarter than average, and a great worker, who end up going through college, getting some degree, and working a high paying job, while achieving nothing relatively valuable in their lives.
Deskjob, (maybe a teaching career) family, house, and that's all they ever live up to...
We need more logical people, who see the medocrity in this situation, and want more out of life.
Aye, excuse my little rant, I had to get it out of my system.
To sum my feelings up:
I wish everyone were smart, and highly logical, but that will never be. So, be smart if you are, be a fool if you must, just stay the hell away from me if you tend to the latter scenario.
