This isn’t a reading book as such but it’s full of facts and figures, and it opens your eyes to how much destruction we are causing to the planet.

This book is very good for improve my knowledge of english word in this area. I can recommend to the students and to experts. It is important issue of nowdays. If we believe strong in God, Jesus and Holly Spirit then he can give the solution by everyday people or by experts. I think it is the same as the idea of computer.

Growth economics equals greed and inevitably destruction. No thought for the diversity of the flora and fauna from governments world wide if they stand in the way of 'development'. A well produced book showing a hugely depressing picture for our one and only earth. Nevertheless it is important reading for any concerned individual but what to do??

I'm a teacher and love this book - I teach 1st 2nd and 3rd grade, but for my highest 3rd graders who are eager to go more in depth with global issues, this book is perfect. And visually stunning! Even students who aren't reading at this advanced level still benefit from the visuals.

Excellent presentation

Excellent book revealing unprecedented anthropogenic pressure on Earth system and connections between seemingly disparate trends. Very good and creative presentation again by DK publisher. Only lacuna is that source of information/statistics is not mentioned which doesn't support the theme "What is really happening to our planet ?"

Excellent book. It's written and illustrated in a way that makes one want to read it. Our entire class is enjoying it. It makes the other textbooks seem pretty boring.

A good starting point for reading about planetary problems in areas like population, economy, climate change,... The graphics are quite wonderful and bring complex issues alive.
