Marsh, representing the state of Colorado, is also a Harvard University graduate student studying public policy. Madison Marsh had already made a name for herself as an officer in the US air force and a Harvard University graduate student when she took the stage at the 2024 Miss America pageant on Sunday night.

By the end of the evening, she had added another line to her résumé: the first
active-duty military service member to be crowned Miss America in the century-old pageant’s history. “I’m very excited to get to represent women who can break stereotypes,” Marsh, 22, said in an interview the pageant shared on its Instagram page after her win.

Dedicating her victory to her mother, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2018, she also remarked: “You can achieve anything … If I can come from a small town, not being a part of the pageant community, step into this role, so can you.” Marsh had been pursuing –
and achieving – lofty goals for years before clinching the Miss America title.

She entered the US air force academy as a cadet with a pilot’s license and ambitions
of becoming an astronaut in about 2020, as the military news outlet Stars and Stripes  previously reported. More recently, she enrolled in graduate-level public policy classes at the Harvard Kennedy School, which were available to her through a special partnership with the air force.

But Marsh, who holds the military rank of 2Lt, focused on more than just her physics
& astronomy classes as she began rising in the air force. She also decided to compete in pageants during her first year at the air force academy near Colorado Springs, Colorado, figuring they would give her the opportunity to engage in community service and strengthen her public speaking skills, she reportedly told Stars and Stripes.

That all set the stage for Marsh to capture the title of Miss Colorado in May.
“I don’t think I ever would have gotten into Harvard if I wouldn’t have gone to the air
force academy. I don’t think I ever would have become Miss Colorado without the air force academy because they have trained me and honed in on my leadership,” Marsh said to the Harvard Crimson student newspaper.

Marsh’s victory as Miss Colorado qualified her for the Miss America pageant, which was founded in 1921. For the talent portion of the contest in Orlando, Florida, she delivered a monologue about difficulties she overcame when she completed her first solo flight as a pilot at the age of 16. The air force was among the first to congratulate Marsh after she topped the field of 51 competitors.

“Congratulations to our very own airman, 2nd Lt Madison Marsh, Miss Colorado –
who was just crowned Miss America 2024!” the military branch wrote on the social
media platform X, also formerly known as Twitter, late Sunday. “Marsh is the first
active-duty service member to ever win the title. #AimHigh.”

For her part, Marsh wrote Monday on Instagram:
“Here’s to showing the world that women can do anything.”

She said she planned to spend her year-long stint in the role of Miss America raising public awareness about pancreatic cancer through a research and advocacy foundation named for her mother, Whitney Marsh. “To my momma – this whole year is for you,” Marsh also wrote on Monday. “If you were in the audience last night, I know you would have been my first hug.

An officer in the U.S. Air Force was crowned Miss America on Sunday night. Second Lt. Madison Marsh is the first active-duty service member to win the annual competition, according to the Air Force. Marsh represented Colorado, the home of the U.S. Air Force Academy, in the pageant. She graduated from the academy last year with a degree in physics, according to her Miss Colorado bio.

In December, a few weeks before the pageant, Marsh told some fellow airmen before a flight from an Air Force base in Nevada that she was “trying to make it a positive thing
for the Air Force, for everyone.” Marsh started competing in pageants while attending the academy. “My cousin had competed in pageants for a long time, and one of the big things about it that I love is the community service aspect and the focus on public speaking,” she said in an interview with the Air Force Institute of Technology in November.

Since 2018, Marsh has been raising awareness and money for pancreatic cancer research through the foundation she founded with her father and sister in honor of her mother, who died from the disease. The Whitney Marsh Foundation has raised over a quarter-million dollars through events like 5K and 10K runs held in Marsh’s hometown of
Fort Smith, Arkansas.

All-Time Worst Financial Crisis

The worst financial crises the world has ever seen ©Public Domain

For as long as there has been a market, there have been market failures.
Whether caused by the beginnings of wars, the ends of wars, bad loans, or just the natural progression of things, they have always found a way to occur, and show no sign of being eradicated anytime soon. Some recessions are brief and inconsequential enough that they can be struck from public memory within a matter of years, while others, like the Great Depression or the market crash of 2008, have left indelible, permanent marks on cultures and societies around the world.

Credit Crisis of 1772
This crisis originated in London and quickly spread to the rest of Europe.
In the mid-1760s the British Empire had accumulated an enormous amount of wealth through its colonial possessions and trade. This created an aura of overoptimism and a period of rapid credit expansion by many British banks. The hype came to an abrupt end on June 8, 1772, when Alexander Fordyce—one of the partners of the British banking house Neal, James, Fordyce, and Down—fled to France to escape his debt repayments.
The news quickly spread and triggered a banking panic in England, as creditors began to form long lines in front of British banks to demand instant cash withdrawals. The ensuing crisis rapidly spread to Scotland, the Netherlands, other parts of Europe, and the British American colonies. Historians have claimed that the economic repercussions of this crisis were one of the major contributing factors to the Boston Tea Party protests and the American Revolution.

The British credit crisis of 1772 has been described by scholars and economists
as the first modern banking crisis involving the Bank of England. The trouble began when banker Alexander Fordyce, who found himself in enormous debt, fled from his financial responsibilities to France. Also as word of the affluent banker’s flight spread throughout England, panic erupted, and as people scrambled to get their cash out of banks that didn’t have the liquid funds, nearly 30 banks in England and across continental Europe collapsed.

Copper Panic of 1789
The United States’ switch to a paper money economy was spurred by the Copper
Panic of 1789, during which massive quantities of fake copper coins made their way into circulation, destroying the value of real copper and causing the American public to lose faith in the copper coin.

The Recession of 1802
Wartime economic stimulation in the United States ceased after Napoleon won the
French Revolutionary War. This alone put the US economy in a precarious position, and with the added interference of Barbary pirates (Muslim pirates who operated from North Africa), the States slipped into a recession that led to the instigation of the First Barbary War.

Recession of 1812
In the months preceding the War of 1812, the United States experienced a brief but serious recession. Fortunately for the economy, the boost in production to feed the war machine quickly pulled the economy out of danger.

image.png

The Poyais Scheme of 1825
Scotsman Gregor MacGregor pulled off a spectacular scam in 1825 that worked so well it caused a minor recession. MacGregor made thousands by convincing people to invest in and buy land grants for an idyllic Central American country called Poyais that, in reality, never existed.
In a time when investors looked to the British stock market to invest in foreign debt, MacGregor had no problem putting his fake government bonds on the market. When his duplicity was exposed, it caused a huge panic in the financial sector of Great Britain and caused the public to second guess their investments after seeing so many of their neighbors lose their life’s savings to MacGregor ‘s scam.

image.png

Panic of 1837
The panic and following recession of 1837 was spurred on by a litany of
failures and mistakes within the American government and banking system.
In a time of rapid westward expansion and privatization of natural resources,
land speculations were going bust left and right; cotton prices plummeted.
Leaving the Southern slavery-driven economy in shambles; and the public was quickly losing confidence in the American banking system, causing droves of people to withdraw all of their savings.
The Panic of 1873 was caused by the closure of Jay Cooke & Co., the largest financial institution in the United States at the time, which had poured too much money
into the construction of the Northern Pacific Railway without seeing any returns.

image.png

What followed the panic was a six-year-long depression. Which at the time was labeled
the Great Depression. After the depression of the 1930s commandeered that title, the depression of 1873-79 became known as the Long Depression

Panic of 1884
A recession that began in 1882 caused by the decline of the railroad industry came to a head after the collapse of two of the United States’ primary banking institutions, Marine National Bank and the Grant & Ward firm. The New York Clearing House gave other banks on the brink of failure massive bailouts to avoid further financial catastrophe.

Panic of 1907
The Panic of 1907 was a brief but intense economic crisis that saw numerous institutions around the world close their doors in a matter of weeks. The recession that followed would last more than a year and was a main precursor to the formation of the Federal Reserve in 1913.

Depression of the 1920s
The end of World War I left the United States deeply in debt, and with a dramatic decrease in domestic production. Prices dropped 37% in 1920, while the GDP for that year dropped 38%, making it one of the worst financial years in United States history.
Depressions like this are to be expected when shifting from the heightened production of wartime to the scaled-down, less profitable production of peacetime, but the end of World War I struck particularly hard. Thankfully, consumerism quickly reached new heights following the 1920 depression, and the Roaring Twenties were soon in full swing.

Considered the worst financial crisis in modern history, the Great Depression that practically destroyed a generation of Americans began with the Wall Street market crash of 1929. The total failure of the federal government to provide relief or a plan of action perpetuated this decade of starvation, homelessness, economic stagnation, and the worst period of unemployment in American history. At the depression’s peak, unemployment reached almost 25%. In 1933 alone, 4,000 banks were forced to close their doors.

Roosevelt Recession
One of the worst recessions of the 1900s, the Recession of 1937 is commonly referred to
as the Roosevelt Recession, as it was caused in part by Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal policies. While the New Deal itself pulled the United States out of its previous recession, it left gaps in the federal budget that displeased Congress and led them to introduce wide-reaching austerity measures that sent the public and the trading markets into a panic.

The Fabulous 50s Full Album (youtube.com)
The American economy experienced a shift during the 1950s that created more income for more Americans than ever before. Though during the early 1950s the American economy was negatively affected by inflation—prices were rising, currency was losing its value, and a recession was at hand—these problems were relatively short-lived. By the mid-1950s, the nation began to enjoy the fruits of economic boom and prosperity. The robust economy gave rise to the American middle class.

The masses of Americans who grew up during Depression-era poverty and sacrificed for their country during World War II were now marrying, starting families, and entering the workforce. Furthermore, the GI Bill, which offered government funding for veterans attending college, allowed those who otherwise could not afford to continue their education to earn college degrees and win better-paying jobs.

During the decade, small businesses started and grew, while major corporations were merging, thus becoming larger, more profitable, and more powerful. Companies big and small needed workers, both skilled and unskilled, to manage their assets, work their assembly lines, or sell their products to the public. Jobs were readily available, and they were filled by a generation of eager-to-work veterans.

Additionally, more and more workers joined labor unions. These unions negotiated with management for pay raises, better working conditions, and health and retirement benefits. The presence and influence of unions was a key factor in allowing America’s blue-collar workers to enter the middle class.

A man who toiled on a factory assembly line or drove a bus or a truck for a living now had sufficient income to purchase his own home and car, not to mention the latest household appliances for his wife (who, during this pre feminist era, usually remained home and raised the children). He could take his family on vacations and save some of his weekly paychecks. However, some of the unions that represented the working man—most notoriously the International Brotherhood of Teamsters—were corrupt.

The Eisenhower Highway System is a 41,000-mile system of interstate highways that
was created by the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956 12 . The act was signed into law by President Dwight Eisenhower on June 29, 1956, and was designed to eliminate unsafe roads, inefficient routes, and traffic jams 1. Eisenhower is often called “the Father of the Interstate System” because he spent years guiding the execution of law 2Search Videos (bing.com)

Travel became an increasingly popular pastime for many. More and more Americans drove by car long distances or boarded airplanes to fly cross-country or across the ocean. The United States was becoming a nation on wheels with a new roadside culture, and federal funds were allocated to improve the then-inadequate national highway system.

Television sets were fast becoming the centerpieces of American living rooms. With a nudge from TV advertising and its ceaseless pitches to purchase everything from beer to bathroom tissue, Americans increasingly became consumers. Of course, Americans also had purchased things in previous decades.

But during the 1950s, more people had enough money to buy nonessential items,
and those who didn’t were making their major purchases on credit.
At the same time, the commercial banking industry expanded, with insurance, trust, and holding companies also entering the money business. With the ready availability of jobs and credit, the 1950s offered most people the ability to purchase all sorts of goods and services for their material comfort.

Gas Crisis of 1973
The gas crisis that coincided with the Fourth Arab-Israeli War was caused by a game of warmongering and embargoes between Western countries who supported Israel financially and militarily, and the oil-producing Arab states who sanctioned these Western nations as a show of solidarity with the Arab coalition headed by Syria and Egypt.

image.png
Arab nations cut oil supplies to Israel’s Western allies, causing an immediate and catastrophic oil shortage and a massive spike in gas prices across the Global West.

1979 Energy Crisis
Just six years after the gas crisis of 1973, another energy crisis hit in the months following the end of the Iranian Revolution. The new Iranian government in place was swift to change their oil export policies. Similar to the crisis of 1973, the United States’ dependency on foreign oil became its downfall. The new Iranian government drastically cut the volume and frequency of its oil exports, causing price hikes and shortages in the United States as well as other Western countries.

The “Lost Decade” of the 1980s – Search (bing.com)
Was an international debt crisis that plagued numerous Latin American countries. Inflation and extortionate interest rates on debt borrowed from international creditors and investors led countries such as Brazil and Mexico to find themselves in a massive deficit year after year, with their annual debt payments totaling more than their GDP.
 Black Monday 1987 – Search Videos (bing.com)

Black Monday (also known as Black Tuesday in some parts of the world due to time zone differences) was the global, severe and largely unexpected[1] stock market crash on Monday, October 19, 1987. Worldwide losses were estimated at US$1.71 trillion.[2]
The severity of the crash sparked fears of extended economic instability[3]
or even a reprise of the Great Depression.[4]
Possible explanations for the initial fall in stock prices include a nervous fear that stocks were significantly overvalued and were certain to undergo a correction, persistent US trade and budget deficits, and rising interest rates. Another explanation for Black Monday comes from the decline of the dollar, followed by a lack of faith in governmental attempts to stop that decline.

In February 1987, leading industrial countries had signed the Louvre Accord, hoping that monetary policy coordination would stabilize international money markets, but doubts about the viability of the accord created a crisis of confidence. The fall may have been accelerated by portfolio insurance hedging (using computer-based models to buy or sell index futures in various stock market conditions) or a self-reinforcing contagion of fear.
The degree to which the stock market crashes spread to the wider (or “real”) economy was directly related to the monetary policy each nation pursued in response. The central banks of the United States, West Germany, and Japan provided market liquidity to prevent debt defaults among financial institutions, and the impact on the real economy was relatively limited and short-lived. However, refusal to loosen monetary policy by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand had sharply negative and relatively long-term consequences for both its financial markets and real economy.[5]

Argentine Great Depression of 1998
An already shaky Argentine economy was pushed over the edge after the economic collapses in Brazil, Mexico, and Russia, all important trading partners for Argentina. The collapse of the Argentine economy led to some of the worst years of poverty the country had ever seen. At the height of the depression, the Argentine unemployment rate was nearly 20%, and some estimates suggest more than 50% of Argentinians were pushed below the poverty line.

The Housing Market Crash of 2008
Was the worst financial crisis of the 21st century thus far and sent devastating ripples throughout the global economy for years afterward. Caused by the collapse of the United States’ housing market, some of the largest and strongest financial institutions in the world, who had been profiting for years off of loans they knew to be fragile, found themselves on the brink of collapse, and nearly 10 million Americans lost their homes along with billions of dollars of income.

Greek 2009 Debt Crisis
In the wake of the 2008 global market crash, Greece continued to suffer more than other European nations. By 2009, Greece was buried in debt borrowed from other European countries, causing an economic and social crisis the effects of which can still be felt.

THE RESULTS ARE IN: BIDENOMICS IS A COMPLETE FAILURE | OPINION
BIDENOMICS IS FAILING – SEARCH VIDEOS (BING.COM)Over the last several months, President Joe Biden has desperately traversed the country trying to resuscitate his plummeting poll numbers and reassure American families that his economic agenda is working. He claims that multi-trillion-dollar investments in green energy and excessive government spending will propel our economy into unprecedented heights of American prosperity.
In other words, he is intentionally misleading Americans with the message that his fiscal policies—which he has coined “Bidenomics”—are beneficial. Fortunately, in poll after poll, the American people resoundingly reject Bidenomics because they see everywhere—from the gas station to the grocery store to their credit-card statements—that the Biden admin. economic agenda has failed. Injecting trillions of dollars into our economy didn’t deliver financial relief; it fueled the worst inflation crisis in more than 40 years.

Naturally, President Biden ignores the reality of his economic policies.
Thanks to Bidenomics, American families’ credit card debt has reached a record $1 trillion as people struggle to pay their bills and feed their families under the weight of inflation. The dream of home ownership has slipped out of reach for countless Americans as mortgage rates approach 8 percent and banks tighten their lending requirements.
Sixty-one percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, gas prices are once again  spiking nationwide due to the Biden administration’s anti-American energy policies, and American households have lost, on average, $33,000 in real wealth this year alone. No wonder almost two-thirds of Americans disapprove of the president’s economic initiatives.

To make matters worse, the federal deficit—which was originally projected to return to pre-COVID levels—is now expected to double this year to $2 trillion, accelerating the catastrophic consequences of our $33 trillion national debt on our economic vitality and national security. This is one of many reasons why Fitch Ratings—one of the largest credit rating agencies in the country—recently downgraded our creditworthiness, pointing to our deteriorating fiscal stability and ballooning national debt.
While House Republicans didn’t create this mess, we are working hard to clean it up. Since the beginning of the 118th Congress, we have passed strong legislation to rebuild our economy, rein in the power of the executive branch, restore the congressional power of the purse, end wasteful spending, and reduce costs for American families.

To date, President Biden’s overreaching regulations and burdensome red tape have cost American workers nearly $10,000 per household. His 122 executive orders have saddled our families, farmers, and businesses with $1.5 trillion in additional and unforeseen expenses.
Republicans passed both the REIN IN Inflation Act and the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny Act to curb record-high inflation sparked by President Biden’s wasteful spending policies and costly executive orders. These two pieces of legislation would require federal bureaucrats to report to Congress the estimated inflationary impact of any executive order before an official vote and ensure that every new “major rule”—that is, any rule with an annual effect on the American economy of $100 million or more—be approved by both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate before taking effect.
We also took aim at President Biden’s attempts, through the Federal Housing Finance Agency, to increase mortgage payments for homeowners with higher credit scores and redistribute those funds to individuals with low credit scores at a time when home mortgages are increasingly unaffordable. It is estimated that this policy could swell mortgage payments for responsible taxpayers from anywhere between $400 to $1,200 per year. Our Free Market Mortgage Act—which passed the House—repeals this unfair rule. On top of higher costs and unrelenting inflation, we should never stick our families with more taxes and more fees.

‘Bidenomics’ Won’t Save America—But Neither Will Reaganomics

CNN’s Erin Burnett speaks with Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. about his criticisms of former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.

As much as it might sadden and enrage Americans who care about things like
the rule of law, personal integrity, and basic competence, it’s unlikely that revelations about Joe Biden‘s corruption or the Democrats persecution of Donald Trump  and his supporters are going to change anyone’s mind about who to vote for next year. While it’s still important to seek justice in these matters, it’s also important to recognize what truly matters most for voters: the economy.

Nothing else can explain the desperate push to keep an increasingly senile, corrupt,
and creepy Joe Biden in office. Other Democratic contenders, like Gavin Newsom
Bernie SandersGretchen Whitmer, and Kamala Harris may be more cogent and
slightly less creepy and corrupt than Biden, but all have abysmal economic records.
Newsom and Harris hail from the failed state of California, which is hemorrhaging population and degenerating into a feudal state; Sanders is a committed socialist who dreams of the U.S. becoming like Cuba; and Whitmer crashed the already weak economy of Michigan with insane COVID restrictions.
By contrast, Biden’s economic performance looks somewhat strong. He hasn’t (yet) ushered in a Great Depression. He has overseen the (slow and painful) reopening of the country after COVID. He can boast about high employment numbers (consisting mainly of low-wage jobs). And he can take credit for investing in domestic (and Chinese) manufacturing (by spending like there’s no tomorrow).

Of course, compared to Trump before COVID, Biden looks quite weak.
Gas is much more expensive, inflation is devastating, and the housing shortage
is reaching crisis levels. In a typically bumbling defense of abortion, Kamala Harris actually admitted that most Americans have no savings and are living precariously: “most Americans are a $400 unexpected expense away from bankruptcy.” Perhaps the wealthiest Americans who donate to Democratic political campaigns are sufficiently insulated, but everyone else is feeling the pinch.
In response, Biden is campaigning on “Bidenomics,” a name his administration gives
to its supposedly pro-working class economic policies. Judging from the latest polls, the message doesn’t seem to be resonating. But this is all Biden has, so he and his surrogates continue to push it.

Biden Buying the Youthful Vote

U.S President Joe Biden announces student loan relief on August 24, 2022, in the Roosevelt Room of the White House in Washington, D.C. OLIVIER DOULIERY/
AFP VIA GETTY IMAGES
By Liz Wheeler

Host, “THE LIZ WHEELER SHOW” COLLEGE DEBT – SEARCH VIDEOS.

And he is still trying his last-ditch effort to save face that his regime was a complete failure to the American People.  The “forgiveness” is superficially intended as relief for allegedly defrauded students and graduates struggling to make ends meet. In reality, the move has more to do with politics than philanthropy.

FACT CHECK: Biden touts’ inflation has “fallen” (msn.com)
Biden is desperate. Inflation is soaring, and Biden is owed a lot of blame for it.
Gas prices are astronomical—Biden deserves still more blame. The election is upcoming, and Republicans are well-positioned to sweep the House and the Senate—while also many Democrat-controlled cities across the country are rife with violent crime. What better way to obfuscate, and to distract the American people from cataclysmic failures, than to dangle “free” stuff?

But canceling student loan debt will backfire on Biden for a number of reasons.
A CNBC poll found 59% of people are concerned that canceling student loan debt will exacerbate inflation. That number includes 81% of Republicans and 41% of Democrats
Even former Obama administration Treasury Secretary and National Economic Council Director Larry Summers warned Biden that “student loan debt relief is spending that raises demand and increases inflation.”
Only 38% of young people support fully canceling student loan debt, which probably has something to do with it being so manifestly unfair. Responsible people who worked hard and struggled to pay off their debts are left in the dust, while people who didn’t pay their debts are rewarded. Worse still is the plight of the taxpayers now on the hook for this enormous bill who didn’t choose a traditional four-year-degree pathway to success.

Besides, canceling student loan debt is a misnomer.
After Supreme Court ruling, Biden cancels student loan debt for millions of borrowers,
Nothing is “canceled.” Biden can’t “erase” student loan debt. He can just transfer it.
Somebody ends up paying: Either the taxpayers are forced to pay for it, or the government simply prints more money. The former is also unfair — as it forces people who didn’t go to college to foot the bill for those who did; the latter dramatically increases inflation.  Canceling Student Debt: Supreme Court said its unconstitutional – Search (bing.com)

image.png

Supreme Court strikes down Biden student-loan forgiveness program – SCOTUSblog
And here’s the real kicker: Wealthy folks carry the majority of the student loan debt in
our nation. Biden’s move takes money from lower-income Americans to subsidize higher-income people.
It is the precise opposite of a “Robin Hood”- style “rob the rich to pay the poor” policy.
A report from the Brookings Institution found that one-third of student loan debt is owed
by the wealthiest 20%, while the bottom 20% carry only 8% of student loan debt. In other words, “canceling” student loan debt would effectively force the poor to subsidize bills for the wealthy.

The cost to the American taxpayer would be astronomical.
If Biden only continued the moratorium on student loan payments through the end of 2022, it would cost taxpayers $20 billion. But if Biden outright cancels $10,000 per person of student debt, it could cost taxpayers roughly $300 billion.
Student loan debt is certainly a problem in our nation. It is self-destructive to suggest to young people that a traditional four-year-degree is the only path to success. Those higher education institutions offer leftist indoctrination and useless pieces of paper at an exorbitantly high price. We must do better for our children, and we can solve this problem without Biden’s redistributive ruse of “canceling” mass student debt.

To wit, not everyone needs to pursue a traditional four-year-degree.
In fact, many shouldn’t. If college is the right fit, more young people could consider community college for the first two years before transferring to a four-year institution. Policymakers should also encourage and accredit more apprenticeship programs and partnerships. More importantly, Congress must put an end to federally subsidized predatory student loans at high rates of interest.
This would begin to solve the skyrocketing tuition problem at our colleges and universities, which are incentivized to raise tuition by reckless bureaucrats who continue to make more taxpayer money easily available without either consequence or oversight. The more student loans are backed by the federal government, the more colleges can hike tuition. Consider a Federal Reserve study that found a direct correlation: For every dollar of federally subsidized student loans received by colleges, schools hike tuition by $0.60. Taxpayers can no longer afford this high-aid, high-tuition model.
Biden is desperate to distract people from the pain his policies continue to inflict.
Dangling “free stuff” like “canceling” student loan debt is a cheap way to try to buy votes.
It won’t work.

Biden’s legacy will be student loan forgiveness.
Everyone from Gen X to Gen Z should be happy.

On Monday President Joe Biden’s regime unveiled yet another student debt relief plan.
It was the latest announcement from a presidency that will be remembered for student loan debt forgiveness, regardless of your place on the political spectrum.
By this fall, more than 30 million people may benefit from the new proposals, which are supposed to fulfill one of Biden’s 2020 campaign promises – just in time for the general election. This is in addition to the more than 3.7 million people who have already had their loans forgiven through past executive actions from Biden.
The new program will be as close as Biden can get to his initial plan with the conservative hurdles he has to clear, including the U.S. Supreme Court ruling against him.
It addresses multiple types of borrowers: those who have had loans for more than 20 years, borrowers who have interest on their loans and make less than $120,000 a year
plus borrowers experiencing financial hardship.

It’s good – great, even – that Biden is forgiving this debt.
Today’s college graduates are saddled with more debt immediately out of college than our predecessors; gone are the days of paying off your loans with summer jobs or those first few post-grad paychecks. It shows that his administration is aware how different the system is compared with decades prior.

image.png
About 43 million people have federal student loan debt equating to more than $1.6 trillion. Include private loans, and it’s an additional $131 billion. This is something that affects people’s lives, day in and day out, and it has become increasingly common with each new generation.

Gen Z is on track to be most educated generation. (Debatable.)
Pew Research Center found that those born after 1996 are on track to be the most well-educated generation. A Gallup poll last year found that 83% of Gen Z thinks college is “very important” or “fairly important.” Biden knows this, and it could pay off for him in November.
Right now, Biden is getting criticized heavily by Gen Z for his stance on Gaza, and he needs to appeal to younger voters who may be wary of heading to the polls. Student loan debt relief is a surefire way to win over progressive voters, even if part of the program is aimed at people 20 years their senior.

About Biden’s support of Israel:
Gen Z wants no part of Biden’s unceasing support of Israel as civilian deaths in Gaza mount. The plan should also win Biden points with Generation X and millennials, who owe more debt on average. Criticism of this plan – the idea that Biden is buying votes – fails to address the new cost of college and the potential for improving the economy.
My Opinion addresses the issues of cost of college by capping professors’ wages and how much overhead is being spent in colleges with fancy chandeliers and also new additions.

Fairness is important. So is economic success.
It’s understandable that older generations feel frustrated by the debt relief Biden
is providing. It’s also true that student loan debt has doubled over the past two decades because of the increase in students pursuing degrees after high school.

There is also a racial disparity in student loan debt.
Black and Latino voters are more likely to have to take on debt and have higher levels of debt on average. Cancelling student loan debt helps mitigate the factors that keep people economically behind their peers.
Borrowers are still feeling the effects of the pandemic as well. About 40% of federal student loan borrowers missed their first payment post-COVID repayment freeze.

My generation is entitled: Gen Z wants student loan forgiveness without any accountability. It doesn’t work that way.
When older generations complain about younger people being “entitled,” they should remember that debt relief helps the economy overall because it helps people save money for milestone purchases, like buying a car or house.

Winning strategy for the 2024 election.
By following up on a campaign promise that would benefit millions, Biden is reminding voters of why they voted for him in the first place. Many people were unenthused about voting for him in 2020; he had neither the grassroots support of Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont nor the newcomer’s advantage of Pete Buttigieg.
The progressive agenda that Biden’s White House touted was a sign that he knew younger voters weren’t going to accept “vote blue no matter who,” and he exemplified that on Day One by extending the pause on repaying student loans.

Even though the first attempt to forgive millions of borrowers was eventually overruled, the administration has continued to push forward and forgive loans for borrowers who meet specific criteria. Biden had already forgiven $138 billion of student loan debt prior
to Monday’s news.
The new initiative is a sign that Biden understands what will get people to the polls. If his team is smart, they’ll keep Biden’s student loan relief as a tenet of his 2024 campaign. Chronic Inflammation = Cancer Metastases

Metastases is the plural form of metastasis. Cancer.net – Search (bing.com)

Having Self Belief in his own research saved his life!!!
James McCraw was diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive brain cancer, after experiencing seizures 1. He underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, but only ½ of the tumor was removed, and he was given a prognosis of only 14 months to live 1. The tumor returned in December 2015, and James’s oncologist was thinking about
a new surgery and chemotherapy but decided to consult a specialist who decided to wait another three months before making a new resonance 2.

Placebo Effect: Meaning, Examples, and Impact (verywellmind.com)
Your mind can be a powerful healing tool when given the chance. The idea that your brain can convince your body a fake treatment is the real thing — the so-called placebo effect — and thus stimulate healing has been around for millennia. Now science has found that under the right circumstances, a placebo can be just as effective as traditional treatments.
“The placebo effect is more than positive thinking — believing a treatment or procedure will work. It’s about creating a stronger connection between the brain and body and how they work together,” says Professor Ted Kaptchuk of Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, whose research focuses on the placebo effect.
Placebos won’t lower your cholesterol or shrink a tumor. Instead, placebos work on symptoms modulated by the brain, like the perception of pain. “Placebos may make you feel better, but they will not cure you,” says Kaptchuk. “They have been shown to be most effective for conditions like pain management, stress-related insomnia, and cancer treatment side effects like fatigue and nausea.”

Does the placebo effect mean failure or success?
For years, a placebo effect was considered a sign of failure. A placebo is used in clinical trials to test the effectiveness of treatments and is most often used in drug studies. For instance, people in one group get the actual drug, while the others receive an inactive drug, or placebo. The participants in the clinical trial don’t know if they receive the real thing or the placebo.
This way, the researchers can measure if the drug works by comparing how both groups react. If they both have the same reaction — improvement or not — the drug is deemed not to work. More recently, however, experts have concluded that reacting to a placebo is not proof that a certain treatment doesn’t work, but rather that another, non-pharmacological mechanism may be present.

How placebos work is still not quite understood, but it involves a complex neurobiological reaction that includes everything from increases in feel-good neurotransmitters, like endorphins and dopamine, to greater activity in certain brain regions linked to moods, emotional reactions, and self-awareness. All of it can have therapeutic benefits.
“The placebo effect is a way for your brain to tell the body what it needs to feel better,”
says Kaptchuk.

But placebos are not all about releasing brainpower. You also need the ritual of treatment. “When you look at these studies that compare drugs with placebos, there is the entire environmental and ritual factor at work,” says Kaptchuk. “You have to go to a clinic at certain times and be examined by medical professionals in white coats. You receive all kinds of exotic pills and undergo strange procedures. All this can have a profound impact on how the body perceives symptoms because you feel you are getting attention and care.”

Metastases most commonly develop when cancer cells break away from the main tumor and enter the body’s bloodstream or lymphatic system. These systems carry fluids around the body.

Chemotherapy and radiation will reduce the tumor, but it will definitely cause it to metastasize. It may not be immediately, but it will make it metastasize with a vengeance eventually. Role of inflammation in cancer initiation – Search (bing.com)

Cancer stem cells as key drivers of tumour progression
Challengingly, conventional cancer treatments target the bulk of the tumor and are unable to target CSCs due to their highly resistance nature, leading to metastasis and tumor recurrence.

Conclusion
Given dynamic cellular events along the cancer progression and contributions of resistance nature by CSCs, understanding their molecular and cellular regulatory mechanism in a heterogeneous nature, provides a significant cornerstone for the development of CSC-specific therapeutics.

Turmeric/Curcumin – I use 1-2 tablespoons of Turmeric. Turmeric/Curcumin will cross the Brain Barrier (BBB) . I was confused. From the number of people asking me I think I should try and clear it up now. Turmeric does not fight cancer. A part of turmeric called curcumin is the cancer fighter. There is only 3%-5% of curcumin in turmeric. I do not take capsules, I prefer Turmeric powder. Because I am indolent, I take 1-2 teaspoons of turmeric and a touch of black pepper is great for preventive measures or maintenance.

• If you have cancer, you need 8g-12g (8g = 3-2/3 teaspoons) of curcumin daily for 3 months
(that is all they tested it for and could not a problem: see GRAS in a later chapter) and a touch of black pepper to get it past the liver.

You cannot get there by taking Turmeric.
It does not matter whether you are using turmeric powder, Turmeric Capsules, Golden Paste or any other form. If you are fighting cancer the best way to do this is by taking curcumin power. If you are not fighting cancer, then you need much less. Then you can
use turmeric in capsules, Golden Paste, or whatever you use Turmeric in.

James McCraw  replied to Lucy Pestana‘s comment:
“Lucy Pestana I am not to tell you what to do. You have to make that choice. I am telling you that I believe that chemotherapy leads to metastasis based on my research and a lot of doctors research. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25025713/ Abstract Since the first prospective identification of cancer stem cells in solid cancers the cancer stem cell hypothesis has reemerged as a research topic of increasing interest.

It postulates that solid cancers are organized hierarchically with a small number of cancer stem cells driving tumor growth, repopulation after injury and metastasis. They give rise to differentiated progeny, which lack these features. The model predicts that for any therapy to provide cure, all cancer stem cells have to be eliminated while the survival of differentiated progeny is less critical. In this review we discuss recent reports challenging the idea of a unidirectional differentiation of cancer cells.

These reports provide evidence supporting the idea that non-stem cancer cells exhibit
a remarkable degree of plasticity that allows them to re-acquire cancer stem cell traits, especially in the context of radiation therapy. We summarize conditions under which differentiation is reversed and discuss the current knowledge of the underlying mechanisms. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18030004/

Abstract Recently it is considered that there is a small population of cells with stem cell property not only in leukemia but also in solid cancer. These cells show the ability of self-renewal and multi-potential differentiation, and can initiate and maintain a tumor. The origin of cancer stem cells might be their normal stem cells, progenitor cells, or bone marrow-derived cells. It is still difficult to isolate cancer stem cells in solid cancer.

There are three possible methodologies to isolate or identify cancer stem cells; the use
of a surface marker, use of cells cultured in a specific condition (sphere), or the use of side population cells identified by FACS. The gold standard assay that fulfills the definition of cancer stem cell may be serial transplantation in animal models. Cancer stem cells are likely to be responsible for disease relapse or metastasis, and also for resistance to radiation or conventional chemotherapy.

The stem cell niche plays an important role in maintaining cancer stem cells. The novel promising therapies against cancer stem cells are considered, including antibody-based therapy, signal inhibitors, overcoming radiation and drug resistance, or differentiation therapy. Another interesting therapy targeting the niche may also be considered.

PubMed Disclaimer Cancer stem cells – PubMed (nih.gov) Abstract Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are a small subpopulation of cells within tumors with capabilities of self-renewal, differentiation, and tumorigenicity when transplanted into an animal host. A number of cell surface markers such as CD44, CD24, and CD133 are often used to identify and enrich CSCs. A regulatory network consisting of microRNAs and Wnt/β-catenin, Notch, and Hedgehog signaling pathways controls CSC properties.

The clinical relevance of CSCs has been strengthened by emerging evidence, demonstrating that CSCs are resistant to conventional chemotherapy and radiation treatment and that CSCs are very likely to be the origin of cancer metastasis. CSCs are believed to be an important target for novel anti-cancer drug discovery. Herein we summarize the current understanding of CSCs, with a focus on the role of miRNA and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and discuss the clinical application of targeting CSCs for cancer treatment. Abstract Background Nowadays, we believe that cancer is a genetic disease.

We focus on the genetic targets and epigenetic changes in a tumor. Remarkably, many crucial signal pathways in a malignant cell involve “stem-ness” genes. The prevalence of stem-ness in cancer suggests that cancer has a stem-cell origin and is a stem-cell disease. Presentation of the hypothesis The observation that many innate stem-ness properties are easily interchangeable with malignant hallmarks needs to be further elucidated.

There appears to be a malignant potential in every stem cell and a stem cell potential in every malignant cell. I hypothesize that cancer is a stem-cell disease rather than a genetic disease. Testing the hypothesis We will use homeobox genes to endow a certain progenitor cell with specific stem-ness properties and confer different stem-cell phenotypes to the particular cell type in a hierarchical manner.

We will demonstrate that an earlier homeobox gene plus a genetic defect (such as Pten loss) tend to form a more virulent tumor, while a later homeobox gene plus the same genetic defect tend to express a more indolent phenotype.
More Importantly, we will show that in clinically relevant cancer subtypes, those with worse clinical outcomes may paradoxically harbor fewer genetic mutations than those with better outcomes do.

Implications of the hypothesis The recognition that cancer is a stem-cell disease will instigate major paradigm shifts in our basic understanding of cancer. Many fundamental principles of oncology, such as multistep carcinogenesis, need to be reconciled. The realization that cancer is a stem-cell disease will also have profound clinical implications on personalized care. Many aspects of our current clinical trials need to be reevaluated.”

A Radical & Controversial Approach To STARVING CANCER:
The Two Root Causes | Dr. Thomas Seyfried (youtube.com)

Cancer Stem Cells (CSCs) have recently been identified in several solid tumors,
including Brain, Breast, Colon, Head and Neck, Liver, Lung, Ovary, Pancreas, Prostate,
Melanoma, Multiple Myeloma, Non-melanoma skin cancer, Stomach.

The only way to be cancer free is by killing the Cancer Stem Cells.
The tumor has a small part that is called the Cancer Stem Cells (usually 1% – 5%), It is the target. Most Oncologists focus on the tumor. That is what they are taught by Big Pharma. It is not the Oncologist fault, they believe it. Oncologists think they are doing right because the chemotherapy and radiation shrinks the tumor. Chemotherapy and radiation causes the cancer to metastasize.
Do not worry about the tumor, the tumor is there to save your life. It is a container to keep the harmful stuff in. It is like Pandora’s Box. The tumor is not the problem. It is the Cancer Stem Cells that are the problem. Cancer Stem Cells are a small part of the tumor. Cancer Stem Cells are resistant to chemotherapy and radiation. If you do the traditional cancer therapy (SOC), chemotherapy and radiation your cancer is coming back. It might not be immediately, but it will come back with a vengeance.

James McCraw
Author Admin. From my book “Beating Cancer from the Grocery Store Revised”.
In 2012, MD Anderson launched a review of Aggarwal’s research after the federal government notified them of allegations of fraud by academic whistleblowers in as many as 65 of Aggarwal’s published papers, one of which had been retracted by the journal that published it.
Several more of Aggarwal’s publications were subsequently retracted after they were found to contain data images that had been reused and manipulated to represent different results.

Aggarwal resigned from his position at MD Anderson at the end of 2015.
By August 2016, eighteen research articles published by Aggarwal (in seven scientific journals) had been retracted.
I think the above ordeal was to discredit Doctor Aggarwal. The Cancer Industry (Big Pharma) is not going to sit back and let the Cancer Industry implode. There is a lot of money at stake and Aggarwal is telling people to watch their inflammation. He retired at the end of 2015. As of today, he is still fighting cancer and I am going 7 years in July 2020 being cancer free with a Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4 cancer.

Doctor Bharat B. Aggarwal PhD made a huge discovery when he was working at M.D. Anderson Cancer Clinic in Houston, Tx. He found out that most cancers were caused by inflammation. One would think that this discovery would be the end of cancer. Wrong, not so fast, this discovery was made in 2013-2014, it is now 2023 and Big Pharma is still trying to find a “cure” for cancer. What has happened since then? I think that the Cancer Industry which is worth a gazillion dollars tried to discredit Aggarwal for his findings and this led to the “war on cancer”.

The Cancer Industry is much stronger today than it was in 2014. He was big on Turmeric.
He found out that Curcumin which was 1-3% of Turmeric was the best cancer fighter around. Aggarwal explained that cancer is a chronic disease much like diabetes, arthritis, Alzheimer’s. He reasoned that the only way to fight cancer is through an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. He was regarded as a “quack” by his peers.

He said Turmeric has been around since the 1700’s fighting diseases.
In India, where he is from, if you had any kind of injury, you would put Turmeric on it. Why didn’t anyone believe him? Aggarwal said it comes down to dollars and cents. Turmeric is very cheap and how could anyone make money on something that was so plentiful. Turmeric Curcumin Alzheimer in India – Search (bing.com)
Aggarwal also said that chemotherapy and radiation would make the cancer metastasize. People do not die of the original tumor, they died because the cancer metastasized. He said that around 50 years ago Paul Ehrlich was the first one to use chemotherapy on humans. He wanted to try it on rats first to see how much to use on humans. Aggarwal said that this was the first time that other animals were used to fight a human disease.

Doctor Bharat B. Aggarwal saved my life.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4, on July 22, 2013. My prognosis was 14 months. I haven’t done chemotherapy since May 5, 2014. If it wasn’t for the confidence given to me by Bharat, I would have done chemotherapy in December 2015 at my Oncologist suggestion. I refused. Beating Cancer | Facebook

Cancer Rates by Country 2024 (worldpopulationreview.com)
Cancer tends to be more prevalent in high-income countries due to lifestyle factors such
as smoking, obesity, and alcohol intake. Fortunately, these also tend to be countries with sound health care systems, which can better detect and treat cancer than the health-care systems in low-income countries. Moreover, advancements in medical knowledge and technology continue to improve each country’s cancer survival rate.
Although a decreasing percentage of cancer patients succumb to the disease, the total number of deaths from cancer continues to rise. This is often attributed to the fact that the world’s ever-growing population includes more senior citizens, whose cancer risk is highest, than ever before. Cancer rates are typically expressed as a crude rate or as an age-standardized rate, which adjusts for the fact that some countries’ populations are younger overall than others. By now, you’ve probably seen more than a few stunning pictures of Monday’s solar eclipse, a special treat even if you weren’t lucky enough to see it yourself from the path of totality. For some people, though, it wasn’t enough just to look up.
The overachievers among eclipse viewers flew through the air, skied down mountains and made use of their favorite snack cracker.  We’ve compiled a collection of amazing and unique views you may have missed.
Here they are, as seen from space, the ground and the air between. This composite image shows the progression of a partial solar eclipse over the Washington Monument, D.C.

Through a Cheez-It
If you were in the path of the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse, you likely had the chance to see a once-in-a-lifetime astronomical phenomenon in your neck of the woods. The sky turned dark as almost everyone under the shadowy ring of sun let out “oohs and aahs,” and even an applause break.
While many people stocked up on special eclipse glasses — because I don’t know if you heard, but you are *not* supposed to look at the sun — some individuals opted for pinhole cameras. You could view the solar eclipse without glasses with a few pieces of paper, some aluminum foil and a small pinhole.
According to “Astro Bob,” who appeared on a WDIO news segment, common kitchen items such as a colander or a paper bowl with sewing needle holes could be used to project crescent shapes on the ground. However, he also suggested using a Ritz cracker. Basically, many people across the Twitter/X and TikTok universes viewed this solar eclipse through little snacks, and we are totally obsessed. These solar eclipse crackers were the real winners of the day.

One Twitter/X user showcased their eclipse through the holes of a Club Cracker.
Just look at those delicious little crescent shapes. After all, why settle for one little moon when you can have 18?
Similarly, one user posted their partial eclipse through a Cheez-It cracker. From the original flavor all the way to bold Cheez-It Grooves, this cracker crafted the perfect pinhole. Plus, this post inspired others on Twitter/X to share how they used Cheez-Itssaltineskitchen spoons, and beyond.
Of course, if you type in “eclipse crackers” on any social media page, you are sure to see viewers happily viewing the moon passing the sun through Ritz, saltines, and more.
This method was ideal for anyone who loves a little bit of charcuterie with their solar eclipse. So, in case you’re already prepping for the next eclipse over the U.S. in 2044, remember to have some snacks on hand for a literally delicious viewing experience.

An Astronomer Explains E=mc²

The Big Bang Theory: A history of the Universe starting from a singularity
and expanding ever since. E=mc2 – Search Videos (bing.com)

Damn you… your place in time and space.
Many cancer patients that visit this blog tell me these are the type of post that take my mind of having cancer. SO, keep it up Ken. Also, I have an inquisitive mind that is always active. And the information in this post is the best that I have found to explain Einstein Theory of Relativity E=mc².

But is it possible to see back to the beginning of time?
The Big Bang is a term used to define the beginning of our universe as we know it. Scientists believe it occurred about 13.8 billion years ago. It is the most widely accepted theory among physicists to explain the history of our universe. The name of his theory is
a bit misleading, however, because it suggests that some sort of explosion, like fireworks, created the universe.

The Big Bang more closely represents the appearance of rapidly expanding space everywhere in the universe. The environment immediately after the Big Bang was similar to a cosmic fog that covered the universe, making it hard for light to travel beyond it. Eventually, galaxies, stars and planets started to grow.

That’s why this era in the universe is called the “cosmic dark ages.” As the universe continued to expand, the cosmic fog began to rise, and light was eventually able to travel freely through space. In fact, a few satellites have observed the light left by the Big Bang, about 380,000 years after it occurred. These telescopes were built to detect the splotchy leftover glow from the Big Bang, whose light can be tracked in the microwave band.
However, even 380,000 years after the Big Bang, there were no stars and galaxies.
The universe was still a very dark place. The cosmic dark ages wouldn’t end until
a few hundred million years later, when the first stars and galaxies began to form.

The James Webb Space Telescope was not designed to observe as far back as the Big Bang, but instead to see the period when the first objects in the universe began to form and emit light. Before this time period, there is little light for the James Webb Space Telescope to observe, given the conditions of the early universe and the lack of galaxies and stars.
Peering back to the time period close to the Big Bang is not simply a matter of having
a larger mirror – astronomers have already done it using other satellites that observe microwave emission from very soon after the Big Bang.
So, the James Webb Space Telescope observing the universe a few hundred million years after the Big Bang isn’t a limitation of the telescope. Rather, that’s actually the telescope’s mission. It’s a reflection of where in the universe we expect the first light from stars and galaxies to emerge.

By studying ancient galaxies, scientists hope to understand the unique conditions of the early universe and gain insight into the processes that helped them flourish. That includes the evolution of supermassive black holes, the life cycle of stars, and what exoplanets – worlds beyond our solar system – are made of.

Astronomers are pretty sure what happened after the Big Bang,
but what came before?

What are the leading theories for the causes of the Big Bang?

About 13.8 billion years ago the Universe started with a bang, kicked the doors in,
brought fancy cheeses and a bag of ice, spiked the punch bowl and invited the new
neighbors over for all-nighter to encompass all all-nighters from that point forward.

But what happened before that?

What was going on before the Big Bang?

Usually, we tell the story of the Universe by starting at the Big Bang and then talking
about what happened after. Similarly and completely opposite to how astronomers view the Universe… by standing in the present and looking backwards. From here, the furthest we can look back is to the cosmic microwave background, which is about 380,000 years after the big bang.
Before that we couldn’t hope to see a thing, the Universe was just too hot and dense to be transparent. Like pea soup. Soup made of delicious face burning high energy everything.
In traditional stupid earth-bound no-Tardis life in an unsatisfactory fashion, we can’t actually observe the origin of the Universe from our place in time and space.
Fortunately, the thinky types have come up with some ideas, and they’re all one part crazy, one part mind bendy, and 100% bananas. The first idea is that it all began as a kind of quantum fluctuation that inflated to our present universe.

Artistic view of a radiating black hole. Credit: NASA
Something very, very subtle expanding over time resulting in, as an accidental byproduct, our existence. The alternate idea is that our universe began within a black hole of an older universe.

I’m gonna let you think about that one. Just let your brain simmer there.
There was a universe “here”, that isn’t our universe, then that universe became a
black hole… and from that black hole formed us and EVERYTHING around us.
Literally, everything around us. In every direction we look, and even the stuff
we just assume to be out there.
Here’s another one. We see particles popping into existence here in our Universe.
What if, after an immense amount of time, a whole Universe’s worth of particles all popped into existence at the same time. Seriously… an immense amount of time,
with lots and lots of “almost” universes that didn’t make the cut.

More recently, the BICEP2 team observed what may be evidence of inflation in
the early Universe. Like any claim of this gravity, the result is hotly debated.
If the idea of inflation is correct, it is possible that our universe is part of a much larger multiverse. And the most popular form would produce a kind of eternal inflation, where universes are springing up all the time. Ours would just happen to be one of them.

It is also possible that asking what came before the big bang is much like asking what is north of the North Pole. What looks like a beginning in need of a cause may just be due to our own perspective. We like to think of effects always having a cause, but the Universe might be an exception. The Universe might simply be. Because.

The James Webb Space Telescope, or JWST for short, is one of the most advanced telescopes ever built. Planning for JWST began over 25 years ago, and construction efforts spanned over a decade. It was launched into space on Dec. 25, 2021, and within a month arrived at its final destination: 930,000 miles away from Earth. Its location in space allows it a relatively unobstructed view of the universe.

The telescope design was a global effort, led by NASA, and intended to push the boundaries of astronomical observation with revolutionary engineering. Its mirror is massive – about 21 feet (6.5 meters) in diameter. That’s nearly three times the size of
the Hubble Space Telescope, which launched in 1990 and is still working today.

The James Webb Space Telescope is a space telescope designed to conduct infrared astronomy. Its high-resolution and high-sensitivity instruments allow it to view objects
too old, distant, or faint for the Hubble Space Telescope.
This enables investigations across many fields of astronomy and cosmology,
such as observation of the first stars and the formation of the first galaxies,
and detailed atmospheric characterization of potentially habitable exoplanets.

It’s a telescope’s mirror that allows it to collect light. JWST – Search Videos (bing.com)
is so big that it can “see” the faintest and farthest galaxies and stars in the universe.
Its state-of-the-art instruments can reveal information about the composition,
temperature and motion of these distant cosmic objects.

As an astrophysicist, I’m continually looking back in time to see what stars, galaxies and supermassive black holes looked like when their light began its journey toward Earth, and I’m using that information to better understand their growth and evolution. For me, and for thousands of space scientists, the James Webb Space Telescope is a window to that unknown universe.

Time travel: Just how far back can JWST peer into the cosmos and into the past?
About 13.5 billion years.  A telescope does not show stars, galaxies and exoplanets
as they are right now.

Instead, astronomers are catching a glimpse of how they were in the past.
It takes time for light to travel across space and reach our telescopes.
In essence, that means a look into space is also a trip back in time.

This is a JWST image of NGC 604, a star-forming region about 2.7 million light years from Earth. NASA/ESA/CSA/STScI

from Earth. NASA/ESA/CSA/STScI

This is even true for objects that are quite close to us.
The light you see from the Sun left it about 8 minutes, 20 seconds earlier.
That’s how long it takes for the Sun’s light to travel to Earth.

You can easily do the math on this.
All light – whether sunlight, a flashlight or a light bulb in your house – travels at 186,000 miles (almost 300,000 kilometers) per second. That’s just over 11 million miles (about 18 million kilometers) per minute. The Sun is about 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) from Earth. That comes out to about 8 minutes, 20 seconds.

Related video: Uranus In 4K – James Webb Space Telescope Sees The Planet,
Rings And Moons (Space) – Search Videos (bing.com)

But the farther away something is, the longer its light takes to reach us. That’s why the light we see from Proxima Centauri, the closest star to us aside from our Sun, is 4 years old; that is, it’s about 25 trillion miles (approximately 40 trillion kilometers) away from Earth, so that light takes just over four years to reach us. Or, as scientists like to say, four light years

Most recently, JWST observed Earendel, one of the farthest stars ever detected.
The light that JWST sees from Earendel is about 12.9 billion years old.
The James Webb Space Telescope is looking much farther back in time than
previously possible with other telescopes, such as the Hubble Space Telescope.
For example, although Hubble can see objects 60,000 times fainter than the human
eye is able, the JWST can see objects almost nine times fainter than even Hubble can.

How can they predict this years in advance but not find a cure for cancer?

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)— Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed Executive Order 2024-04D
to assure Ohioans the state is well-prepared for the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, that will cross a 124-mile-wide band in the state of Ohio.
“The safety and well-being of Ohioans is always at the forefront of everything we do,”
said Governor DeWine. “We have been preparing for the April 8th solar eclipse for
several years to ensure this once-in-a-lifetime event can be safe and memorable for all.”

The Executive Order directs all State departments and agencies to be ready and prepared to ensure the health and safety of all Ohioans and visitors before, during, and after the eclipse. Ohio Emergency Management Agency (Ohio EMA) is coordinating the state’s preparation and response to the event, and all law enforcement agencies are prepared to respond with necessary personnel and resources to assist local law enforcement in contributing to the safety and security of Ohio residents and tourists.
Only 21 total solar eclipses have crossed the lower 48 states during the existence of the United States of America. The last total solar eclipse visible in Ohio was in 1806, and the next total solar eclipse will not pass through Ohio until the year 2099.

When the moon’s shadow races across Earth on April 8 during the total solar eclipse,
it will travel faster than the speed of sound. The speed of sound varies depending on the temperature of the air through which the sound moves. On Earth, the speed of sound at sea level — assuming an air temperature of 59 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius) —
is 761.2 mph (1,225 km/h).

Because gas molecules move more slowly at colder temperatures,
that slows the speed of sound; sound moves faster through warmer air.
Therefore, the speed required to break the sound barrier decreases higher
in the atmosphere, where temperatures are colder.

It will sweep across Earth at more than 1,500 miles (2,400 kilometers) per hour
on April 8, according to NASA. However, exactly how fast it will move will depend
on where you are viewing it from.  What is the speed of light? (msn.com)

UNDERSTANDING THE MOON’S SHADOW

The width of the umbra (the path of totality) and the penumbra (the partial eclipse zone) depend on the moon’s distance from Earth during the eclipse. This also affects the speed
at which the shadow moves, as does the rotational speed of the moon and the Earth. The moon is orbiting Earth from west to east, the same way Earth rotates, but the moon moves more quickly.

The penumbral and umbral shadows of the moon are projected as a path because Earth rotates under the faster-moving shadow of the moon. So, although the moon’s shadow moves across Earth very quickly during an eclipse, it’s counteracted by the Earth’s rotational speed.
A solar eclipse occurs on Earth when a new moon blocks at least part of the sun, as seen from Earth. All solar eclipses project a large fuzzy shadow onto Earth called the penumbra. From within it, observers see a partial solar eclipse, watching the moon gradually block some of the sun before gradually moving away.

Only during a total solar eclipse, when the moon blocks all of the sun, does a smaller, darker conical shadow called the umbra project onto Earth. This is the path of totality, and from within it, observers see partial phases on either side of a total solar eclipse.

WHY IT SLOWS DOWN AND SPEEDS UP
Although the moon’s shadow would move even more quickly across the planet if it weren’t rotating, on April 8, that shadow will still move exceptionally fast. However, it won’t travel at a consistent speed.

“The moon’s shadow will travel slowest at the point of greatest eclipse near the town of Nazas, Mexico, where the duration is longest and also where the shadow speed is the lowest,” said Michael Zeiler, eclipse cartographer at GreatAmericanEclipse.com.
“As the shadow progresses across North America, the shadow speed increases because the oblique angle of the shadow on a curved Earth results in a higher ground speed.”
For example, at 11:37 UT on April 8, the event will begin as an eclipsed sunrise in the Pacific Ocean, during which the moon’s shadow will be traveling at a whopping 10,439,792 mph (16,801,217 kph), according to eclipse expert Xavier Jubier’s Interactive Google Map  of the eclipse.
As it ends as an eclipsed sunset in the Atlantic, it will be traveling at 5,535,176 mph (8,908,002 kph). However, close to Nazas, Mexico — the point of the greatest eclipse where the centers of the sun, moon, and Earth are in perfect synergy (alignment) — it will be moving at a pedestrian 1,565 mph (2,519 kph). The shadow will slow down to that point and speed up after, so as the moon’s shadow enters the U.S. in Texas, it will speed up slightly to 1,597 mph (2,570 kph). It will then pick up pace across the U.S. and, as it leaves Newfoundland in Canada for the Atlantic, it will be moving at 4,727 mph (7,607 kph).

April’s total solar eclipse will travel at speeds ranging from 10 million miles an hour —
half the speed of the fastest supernova explosion ever detected — to as slow as 1,565 mph, about twice the speed of a supersonic aircraft. Just ensure you’re inside the path of totality to stand beneath it! Totality Views Of Solar Eclipse From Mexico | Watch (msn.com)

And then it was over:
A total eclipse of the sun has come and gone.

EAGLE PASS, Texas − In a moment of cosmic alignment that was precisely predicted
yet undeniably mysterious, the moon crept across the face of the sun as seen from Earth, casting its shadow onto the United States on Monday.
The partial shadow crossed into the U.S. in Texas just after noon local time, and a bit more than an hour later, the minutes of “totality” began. The total eclipse of the sun then traced a path from southern Texas to northern Maine, where it exited into Canada and the ocean beyond.

The rare event was an astronomical experience like no other. Monday’s eclipse was unusually accessible to millions of people. It was widely anticipated not only for its remarkable period of darkness, but for its rare timing: No total solar eclipse would be visible from the contiguous United States again until 2044. While millions of Americans may have seen today’s eclipse, a small group in Texas was among the very first.

Clouds came and went as the shadow grew for the next hour.
As totality approached Eagle Pass, the sky shaded a dull gray then a heavy
brown and the temperature dropped a few degrees. Only a sliver of the sun remained.
A few seconds before 1:27 p.m. CT, the crowd counted down, “3… 2…1…” The sun was gone, completely covered by the moon. Darkness spread over the small airport grounds.

“Oh my god,” Martinez said, a hand covering her heart.
“This is so cool!”  https://www.usatoday.com/picture-gallery/

and eastern Canada. Tens of millions of people were treated to stunning views as the
moon passed between Earth and the sun and temporarily blocked the sun’s light.”

Fallen into the Rabbit Hole

Zoraya ter Beek, 28, will die by assisted suicide in May. RTL Nieuws – Search (bing.com)

I fell into the Rabbit Hole myself late 2005 into 2006.
When My Father died of Leiomyosarcoma on April 3, 2006, after his 14 years
of battling various types of cancer and the final battle with Leiomyosarcoma.
My Severe Depression is best described as following into a Dark Rabbit Hole and when you finally feel like you have climbed out of it. You fall deeper back into it and best to say until I finally changed my mindset I finally conquered this selfish state of mind. Cancer
in the family really does change you in the beginning, in the midst and in the aftermath.

Ter Beek, who once aspired to be a psychiatrist, has been dealing with mental health struggles throughout her life. Therefore, This is simply sickening.
That someone will help with an assisted suicide and it’s wrong! It’s murder. 😭 no different than someone overdosing on pills because they want the escape from depression, etc.
But why shouldn’t someone be able to choose when they want to die? I’d rather be able to choose than have it happen after a long period of pain and suffering when the chances of getting “better” are slim to none.

Stephanie Breithe Cara Byers
I’ve heard the stories of people suffering day after day without any relief, who are actively seeking to obtain a medically assisted end of life. It’s heartbreaking. And I hold a lot more grace and nuance for them in their choice than I used to. Nobody makes this choice lightly or just because. It’s excruciating. They are the ones who have to live every day in their bodies. Nobody else does. It can be an ethical choice for a few. And it’s actually really hard to get approved for this medically. Very, very few see it through. It’s sometimes just the control over their own lives they need, just knowing they have the option if they choose. Until we have walked in their shoes, we really have no clue.

Reserve judgment for those who do harm to others.

Nikki Marie
We don’t know her life-long medical history from an article written, only what little was published. We don’t know how many doctors she’s seen, how many different medications she’s tried, if she’s changed her diet, if she’s prayed it away everyday, etc. All a lot of you are gathering is “she’s giving up”, “she didn’t try hard enough”, “she should get another opinion”, “she should turn it to Jesus”
I actually am for assisted in-a living. I wish it were legal everywhere in the US so the medical community would stop bleeding people dry when ill and let them gracefully bow out if they wish. The Netherlands saved 8000+ families from possible financial loss, loss
of quality of life, mental health issues due to health problems, etc…the American medical community would have drug those 8000+ families thru the mud financially, given them meds that break down their bodies more rapidly, cause all kinds of mental health decline, etc.
I worked in healthcare for 12 years. Worked closely with hospice patients in both hospital and nursing home settings. Held numerous hands of people that their families never visited, wiped tears away from scared, lonely humans that were dying, consoled patients
in so much pain they couldn’t move, watched mental health documentaries. After suicide
I’d like to think some of those people would have liked to have had a different choice.
I’d much rather choose to die with dignity, assisted rather than scared and alone because
I didn’t have the option.

Patricia McMahon Guy
I have battled crippling episodes of depression and anxiety multiple times in my life and
if this option had been available then I would not be here today. I am grateful that this was not an option and that I am still alive and if I get sick again, I truly hope that this would not be a solution that was offered to me. You’re right though …. the provision for mental health is diabolical…drugs, drugs and more drugs that only serve to compound the problem.
I thank God that I came to a saving faith 3 years ago and although I have battled with suicidal depression since then I j ow that the Lord has seen me through these anguished times. I pray that He will do the same for you Christine 🙏🙏🙏

The only time I believe in assisted you know….is when someone is terminal, and they
are starting to really go downhill so it is obviously a correct diagnosis. That is death with dignity and not in awful pain. For mental health, it is no different than making you know attempt.
I have clinical depression and anxiety and it is hard to treat because some of it stems from brain trauma from having bacterial meningitis at 18 months old, I have always had it to some degree, so I say this with experience.

Because you have precious children who will have a lifetime of even worse pain if
they lose their mother. Life can be very painful. But our children shouldn’t suffer more pain for our comfort or escape from pain. I know people who had family members commit suicide, they’re still suffering, even years or in some cases, decades later.
It isn’t just about pain. It is not wanted to have to be in a diaper and have someone
change it. It is not wanting family to see them deteriorating, wanting them to remember them somewhat healthy. I wouldn’t do it, but I have seen people in that place and can understand why they would want to.

I’m not talking about the old.
I’m talking about people with terminal illnesses that are showing signs of the end and know their diagnosis is real. When it comes to the elderly there are other things. For instance my grandfather has Alzheimer’s and needed his pacemaker removed and it was decided to just let his time run out as he was already in his mid 80s, and that is different. People with terminal illnesses are so many times able to state their desires and make decisions before it gets to that point.

It should always be an individual’s personal decision.
I’ve seen someone recover from stage 4 terminal cancer who was only given 2-6 months to live. God forbid they took the assisted suicide route and let their bodies deteriorate rather than fight the battle with things known to starve cancer cells and at least give their life a shot. The problem with ever choosing any form of assisted s****** is that it’s taking the will of God out of His hands and into your own. Perhaps the person may die a slow miserable death but they may experience revelations of who He is during that time and have a final lesson in this journey of life.

To cut that short is to possibly miss that opportunity (to even be saved). Yes, someone should be given some comfort meds if they truly are at the end of life but i’ll never agree with taking a lethal dose of anything because miracles take place every day– including for people suffering mental illness and major health issues.
I’ve seen it, I’ve experienced it. It saddens me that people take that route and could possibly miss out on something miraculous or beautiful… which life and death both truly are… naturally speaking.

Why, sometimes mental illness can be related to a deficiency in a certain vitamin like
B vitamins, personally I’d increase my b vitamins before getting euthanized. M.t.h.f.r mutations are so common and many lack those necessary b vitamins. Not only that, but thanks to our deficient soils we are mineral deficient in general and are suffering from mental health issues due to gut disruptions in pesticides/herbicides/ antibiotics, I would address your gut health for anything mental health/depression/mood disorder related. You would be surprised what a huge difference it makes.

The allopathic system can’t and won’t help you, all they know how to do is poison your body with pHARMaceuticals. Mental health problems typically stem from an unhealthy gut biome. Have you tried changing your diet? You might find adding in fermented foods that have been fermented using natural traditional methods help.

I’d change my diet and I feel better, I also have increased my B1 intake which actually opens up the receptors in your brain that make you happy. So yeah there’s lots of shit
like trying walking around barefoot in your yard before going to a dr sometimes being grounded by the earth can actually help to and organic and gluten-free help to so yeah
so much more to do before killing yourself there’s a lot more to do drs can’t help with everything. All illness is that of deficiency or toxicity!!!!

I think it’s really sad because there is healing… healing is possible, and she didn’t have to die.

This is so sad to see. Life is such a precious gift, there is so much to do here. There are other methods of healing that are not mainstream that could help. Clearing blockages, bioenergetic testing, diet, support groups, etc… life is very hard, I know it’s hard, but you are here for a reason, there is no way to replace you and the impact you have now and the impact you will have in the future. The electrification of the earth will increase episodes of depression

It’s sad they say she’s ‘physically healthy’, because she’s not.
I’ve come to believe most of what we label ‘mental illness’ is actually physical and can be treated. We live in a very toxic world that is impairing the body’s ability to function properly, as the brain, immune, endocrine and digestive systems, in particular, are malfunctioning due to heavy metals, household chemicals, glyphosate, parasites, plastics, etc. Dr Kelly Brogan has helped many people get free. Own Yourself: The Surprising Path beyond Depression, Anxiety, and Fatigue to Reclaiming Your Authenticity, Vitality, and Freedom: Brogan M.D., Kelly: 9781401956851: Amazon.com: Books

A lot of nutrients help to rebalance brain chemistry too. Many people are deficient in
a lot of nutrients so it makes it very difficult for their brains and bodies to manage stress.
Might want to look into that option.

Used to be we had no options except sick care. Now we have lots of options to heal anything – see my site foodgoddess50.  I recovered from 5 auto immune with no meds
and have no pain. Yes I can Relate – awful

I know people that have taken their lives, they no longer suffer but they will no longer see their kids, family, friends. We all grieve the loss, their pain & suffering and will always bear the guilt that why couldn’t we have helped, No one should suffer and be in pain. 💔😭💔

My soul hurts for all that I do. BUT….
I also know people whom if they had this choice would have in a heartbeat said yes to assisted suicide
Whom luckily didn’t have this choice and thankfully never went through with the alternative even though they tried/wanted too
And now the storm has passed, things look brighter
And they are living a more normal happy life

Unfortunately the system’s way of helping is awful.
Can you get away camping, back to nature, eating just raw whole foods as much fruit & veg as you like when you like and lots of clean water, herbal teas, Fresh air, sun & and having time away from your daily routine.

Thoughts? She doesn’t want to suffer anymore.
She sought out help, she didn’t get it, and she’s tired. She wants to rest. I feel her pain more than I can put into words. 😓 I’ve been trying to get psych treatment for three years to NO avail and I am declining more and more each day that passes. I’d consider this if it were an option (IF I didn’t have children). Not because it’s what I’d “want” but because
I’m tired and I can’t find anyone to help. Nobody. Nobody cares… they never do.

I understand and it isn’t a choice I would make.
However, if someone has met very particular criteria and is mentally competent and makes the choice on their own then so be it. We have had it for awhile in Oregon and it doesn’t happen a lot really. While I wouldn’t make that choice. I can understand why someone might want to.

Scripture says judge not lest ye be judged by the same measure. You’re referencing a concept in scripture sorely out of context which I understand but can truly be dangerous. Do you really think Jesus would stand next to her and encourage her to take her own life (with help) and say “go ahead – I don’t judge you” or do you think He would take her into His arms and rescue her from the demonic forces that plague her? I’ve been there. I know what He’d do. He rescued me. And He can do the same for you and could have done the same for her. Satan is a liar and a crafty one. But the Lord is victorious and merciful. And He has already defeated that conniving snake in the grass.

I know sooo many people who have been deep, deep in depression, and even suicidal with multiple failed attempts and have grown and healed past that season in their life and now are incredible happy people with families who love them etc. this just seems heartbreaking… like giving up because you can’t possibly see anything better in the future but that’s what depression does in the moment … seems like a very permanent decision for what could be a “blip” for lack of a better word… in an incredible life when she heals … so hard!

Absolutely. I mean, if God exists, he would be whispering that in her ear to help her not
do it, but it’s going to happen if she wants it to. There’s no stopping someone from doing something they have their mind set on. There’s no wrong way to interfere with God’s will or messages.

She has a choice but that is of her own free will. If Jesus were standing next to her,
He’d do everything he could to stop her. God’s will does not include suicide. Ever.
I hope you don’t believe that for yourself. But from your other comments, I have a bad feeling you’re struggling with demonic forces trying to convince you that what you say is true. It’s absolutely not.
And Jesus loves you. Died for you. And declares victory over your demons and struggles. You are free in Him if you choose to be.
I’ll be praying hard for you. Because I absolutely know what the everyday battle is like.
It’s exhausting but I promise there is life abundant in Christ. 🤍😭

Revelation 20:12-15
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Death- not hell- they die and don’t have an eternal life with God.)

God does judge others lol at least the one in the Bible does and Torah.
He is the judge and He will send ppl to hell. He tells us not to judge because we are
not the judge, however, we are able to correct and call out sin in love of fellow believers and should call sin sin, can we not just agree to disagree? This is inevitably a debatable topic in this world. Everyone suffers with depression differently, and some of us have massively different opinions. We have to respect each other’s opinions because it’s how people feel. That’s the way it is, it’s not going to change no matter how we disagree with each other.

From what we read in the Bible, we know that committing suicide is a sin.
God calls murder sin (Exodus 20:13) and committing suicide is essentially murdering yourself.
Suicide also dishonors the gift of life that is given by God and bought at a price
(1 Corinthians 6:20).
And yet, in the Bible, we still see some people thinking about ending their own lives.
When Elijah was fleeing from Jezebel, he was overwhelmed by the journey and prayed
that he might die (1 Kings 19:4).
Jonah asked God to take away his life, he was angry towards God’s compassion for the Ninevites (Jonah 4:3).
The apostle Paul described his afflictions to be so great that they caused him to be “despaired of life itself” (2 Corinthians 1:8).
Reading these accounts informs us that the Word of God is not indifferent or ignorant towards those who are struggling with the deepest pain, sorrow, anguish and who are in despair.
It shows us that God can still meet and lead His people in these struggles of life and death.
God comforted and provided for Elijah, and later recommissioned him (1 Kings 19).
God rebuked Jonah and explained His heart for the people in Nineveh (Jonah 4).
And God also taught Paul to rely not on himself but on Him (2 Corinthians 1).

The message is clear: there is hope.
We don’t have to come to the point of ending our own lives.
We simply need to trust God and hold on to Him.
I can only imagine the strong feelings and reaction you’re having here is born from some kind of pain. Yes, people have their free will but that doesn’t make this okay. We call one unloving oneself tragic in every other instance. We mourn and cry. Yet someone assisting someone else in unloving themselves is being defended and that’s even worse.

Loving Life is the only treatment necessary. When one’s life is completely devoid of love, and no one cares, when we finally look to God and surrender to Him and His undying love, grace, peace, justice and mercy, we realize that the Kingdom of God is within us and therefore we are never alone. Discernment is a gift. And love becomes not a choice,
but a Presence and a part of consciousness we can all choose to dwell within.
Don’t give up, give in to the Love of God that was with you all along. 💝
Why do you defend euthanizing? I mean we have free will but everything has a consequence and going against the gift of life is something that will affect the soul

Avoiding the 5 Ps for Longevity

The key to a long life is avoiding the ‘poisonous 5 Ps,’
says one of the world’s top anti-aging experts
Story by Alexa Mikhail

Long before Bryan Johnson became famous for his extreme biohacking—undergoing countless tests, following strict eating habits, and taking dozens of supplements in the name of living forever—Valter Longo – Search Videos (bing.com) was obsessed with longevity.

In a recent profile of the scientist in the New York Times, Longo, who is a professor
of gerontology and director of the USC Longevity Institute in California, says he wants
to live 120 to 130 healthy years. His drive for longevity aligns with a growing interest in extending health span, the number of years lived free of disease, as opposed to life span—which refers to the number of years lived.  Bing Videos

Italian lifestyle has long been considered the gold standard for longevity, with the focus
on the Mediterranean diet, walkability, and community. Sardinia, Italy is one of the five original Blue Zones—where people live the longest, healthiest lives. Lessons from the residents of Sardinia were the focus of one of the episodes of Dan Buettner’s recent Netflix  documentary, Living to 100.

Longo, who was born and raised in Italy, points out that today,
“Almost nobody in Italy eats the Mediterranean diet.”
Italy’s youth are facing obesity because of what Longo calls the “poisonous five Ps — pizza, pasta, protein, potatoes and pane (or bread),” Horowitz writes.  Longo fears Italians will live long but not healthyfully if this pattern continues to dominate the culture.

Dying for a Pizza? The Worst Foods for Your Heart
Of course, the occasional pizza or burger won’t immediately raise your chances of having
a heart attack. However, if you know that you’re eating these types of foods too often, it could be time to review your eating habits.
Over 2,000 US citizens die from heart disease every day. The sad fact is that
many of those deaths could have been avoided, had the individual eaten a healthier diet.
Many cases of heart disease, stroke and heart attack are related to poor eating habits. While there’s no problem having the odd blow-out in a restaurant, if you’re eating the wrong things on a regular basis, it will take its toll on your body.
Here’s a brief guide to the foods you should be avoiding if you want your heart to remain healthy.
The Worst Foods for Your Heart

1. Processed meats. It’s always tempting to pop a hotdog on the BBQ or indulge in a bacon bap in the morning. However, processed meats are often bad news for our hearts. They’re full of sodium and higher in saturated fat, which officially makes them a food to steer clear of. They’ve also been linked to diabetes and even pancreatic cancer.
2. Fizzy beverages. A can of Sprite or Coke can provide the perfect pick-me-up when you’re low on energy. There’s a reason for this… it’s full of sugar! This causes your blood sugar to spike, and it can also contribute to obesity, one of the leading causes of heart disease. In fact, according to a 2012 study, just one can of full-fat fizzy drinks a day can increase a man’s chances of having a heart attack by 20%.
3. Trans fats. Trans fats are cheap to make, which makes them popular with the food industry. However, food cooked using trans fats is not beneficial to our hearts. They raise levels of ‘bad’ cholesterol in the body, leaving you more vulnerable to heart attack.

How to reverse it?
Longo, author of The Longevity Diet says, eating a sensible diet is a way to prolong your life and is a proponent of the original Mediterranean diet which consists of plant-based foods and nuts. He has his own recipes for longevity on his website, which include sweet and sour sardines, stuffed artichokes, cabbage patties, and onions in walnut sauce.
He also champions another relatively new concept in the space—faux fasting or a fasting-mimicking diet. This refers to limiting food intake, which is supposed to help the body reap the benefits of fasting without fully abstaining from food. According to Longo’s website, the protocol includes a diet low in carbohydrates and protein and high in fatty acids.

“The Fasting Mimicking Diet patented recipe allows your body to remain in a fasting like mode, which triggers a set of protectionist measures that the body has developed during natural selection,” his site reads. “This allows the body to optimize its performance, rejuvenate its cells, and thrive under demanding circumstances.”
Research has found both benefits and drawbacks to intermittent fasting, but its continued popularity demonstrates the lengths people will go to with the hope of extending their lives.

Does Fasting Have Mental Health Benefits?
Some evidence shows it may help boost mood and stave off anxiety.
Published on March 30, 2024
By Wendy Wisner

Medically reviewed by Steven Gans, MD
Fasting seems to be a bit of a health craze these days, with proponents of it guaranteeing all kinds of results, from quick weight loss to boost mental clarity. Here’s the thing: there’s actually some solid evidence that intermittent fasting as a dietary intervention has health benefits, including reductions in body weight, cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure.1 The question is: can fasting have positive effects on our mental health?

While there is some preliminary research linking fasting to improved moods, vitality, decreased irritability, lowered stress and even a reduction in depression and anxiety, there are other studies that show that short-term fasting can increase depression, anxiety, anger and irritability. The available research is relatively new and based on small sample sizes.2

Still, many people who’ve tried it report that fasting often gives their mental health a needed boost. Let’s take a closer look at the mental health effects of fasting, including benefits, risks, and how to do it, along with some expert guidance along the way.

Feel Good Foods: The Diet-Brain Connection

What Is Fasting, Exactly?
First, it’s helpful to understand what fasting is. Fasting as a mindful dietary choice isn’t all about arbitrarily skipping meals or going without food for days on end. People who fast for health and well being do so deliberately, following one of several methods.

The most common type of fasting is intermittent fasting, which may take several different forms. Many people who practice intermittent fasting go for 12-18 hours each day without eating, and also have a 6-12 hour period where they do eat.

This eating period generally takes place in the daytime hours, and most of the fasting period takes place at night. For many people, intermittent fasting simply means skipping breakfast or having mealtime end early in the evening, along with no nighttime snacking.3

Another type of intermittent fasting involves fasting for longer periods, but only doing so several days a week. For example, in alternate-day fasting, people restrict their calories by about 25%, but only do this every other day, and eat normally on the other days. Other similar plans include the 5:2 plan, which is where you fast (or reduce calories significantly) two days a week but eat normally on the other days.2

The Experts Agree: What You Eat Can Directly Impact Stress and Anxiety

Effects of Fasting on Mental Health and Emotional Well-Being

So, does fasting have any positive effects on mental health and emotional well being?

From what we know right now, it’s a bit of a mixed bag, says Clifford Feldman, MD, psychiatrist and medical director at Solace Treatment Center. “Fasting can have a variety of effects on mental health, depending on the length of the fast, the frequency of fasting, and an individual’s overall health and lifestyle,” Dr. Feldman.

As Dr. Feldman notes, there’s some research pointing to the fact that short term fasting can sometimes actually increase symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, irritability, and stress. “However, some studies indicate that, with proper management, fasting can improve mood and emotional well-being in certain situations,” Dr. Feldman says.2

Ila Dayananda, MD, MPH, OB-GYN and chief medical officer of Oula Health,
agrees that fasting can have a positive effect on mental health, but it varies
from one person to another.

Fasting can have positive and negative impacts on mental health, depending
on such factors as individual health status, duration of fasting, and frequency.
— ILA DAYANANDA, MD, MPH, OB-GYN

Dr. Dayananda says that the benefits may vary based on what type of fasting you do. Shorter fasting periods “may improve mental clarity and focus for some individuals,”
she says. At the same time, “prolonged or extreme fasting may contribute to mood disturbances and cognitive impairments,” Dr. Dayananda  notes.

 Why Am I So Angry?

Fasting and Brain Function

There’s some pretty fascinating info out there about how putting your body in a fasting state can affect the brain—and in turn, how this might affect mental health.

Fasting affects brain function in a few different ways, Dr. Feldman says. It has been linked to neurogenesis or the development of new neurons, which can improve brain health and cognitive function.4

Additionally, fasting increases something known as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). BDNF is important for learning, memory, and mood regulation, Dr. Feldman says.

Together, these brain changes “may contribute to improved cognitive performance and resilience to stress and depression,” he says.5
Fasting impacts brain function via various mechanisms, says Dr. Dayananda, including “changes in neurotransmitter levels, alterations in energy metabolism, and activation of cellular repair processes such as autophagy,” she describes. “By promoting ketone production, fasting provides an alternative energy source for the brain, which may enhance cognitive function and protect against neurodegenerative diseases.”3

Finally, fasting triggers cellular stress responses, and these responses “activate
adaptive pathways, increasing neuronal resilience and improving overall brain health,”
Dr. Dayananda explains.6

Negative Effects of Sugar on the Brain

Fasting and Mental Disorders

It’s clear that fasting can be helpful for certain folks in terms of improving mood and boosting cognition, but can it improve specific mental health disorders?

This is also an area where research is still new and not entirely conclusive. Ozan Toy, MD, psychiatrist and chief medical Officer at Telapsychiatry, says that fasting definitely has specific mental health benefits and may be able to improve some of the symptoms of mental health issues such as anxiety, stress, mood, and cognition in some individuals.

But when it comes to specific disorders, research is not robust enough yet. “Fasting is being researched to help treat mood and other disorders, but there is not enough evidence to support this as a treatment yet,” Dr. Toy says.
Indeed, a 2021 systematic review and meta-analysis found that fasting could relieve some of the symptoms of anxiety and depression, but the study researchers warned that there were several caveats to keep in mind, including that the studies were only preliminary and that no studies were conducted specifically in psychiatric populations.3

Fasting Interventions for Stress, Anxiety and Depressive Symptoms: A Systematic Review and Meta-AnalysisNutrients. 2021;13(11):3947. doi:10.3390/nu13113947

As Dr. Feldman notes, there’s been research on the practice of fasting during Ramadan,
a religious Muslim holiday marked by a month of fasting. A 2023 study linked Ramadan fasting to reduced interpersonal sensitivity and phobic anxiety, for example. However it is also important to note that some research has found that fasting during Ramadan was associated with a higher recurrence rate in patients with bipolar disorder.7

These advantages could stem from the sense of accomplishment and self-discipline that fasting fosters, as well as physiological changes that occur during fasting, such as changes in brain chemistry that can improve mood and stress resilience.
— CLIFFORD FELDMAN, MD

Again, though, at this time fasting is not prescribed by doctors or psychiatrists as a method of addressing mental health disorders like phobias, anxiety, depression, or any other mood disturbances.

Practical Tips for Safely Fasting

While fasting isn’t for everyone—and anyone who is interested in trying it should check with a healthcare professional first—it does show some promise in terms of helping with mood, mental clarity, and emotional well being for some people.

Getting started with fasting can feel confusing and overwhelming, which is another reason why it makes sense to seek guidance from a healthcare professional or dietician before trying it. It’s important that you stay hydrated while fasting and that you stop immediately if you show signs of disorientation, confusion, feelings of dizziness, faintness or the new onset of any physical or mental symptoms.1

Dr. Dayananda shared her top tips for newbies starting to fast:
Start slow, trying gradual restrictions and fasting/eating windows.

Once you get the hang of it, try to stay consistent in terms of the windows you choose
Pay attention to what you eat in your eating window, focusing on nutrient-rich food that will sustain and energize you
Be patient with yourself as you transition toward longer fasting windows.

Remember that it takes time for the body to adapt
Keep in mind that everyone is different and it’s up to each of us to decide what works
best for our body, in terms of how long to fast, what type of fasting to try, and whether
to continue fasting at all

 Foods to Help Fight Depression

Risks of Fasting
While fasting—especially the less extreme version of fasting,
such as intermittent fasting—is generally safe, it’s not for everyone.

“People with certain medical conditions such as diabetes could run into problems associated with hypoglycemia that could have serious consequences,” Dr. Toy says. “Furthermore if someone is suffering from an eating disorder, fasting could also be a risky intervention in this patient population as well.”1

Dr. Dayananda doesn’t recommend fasting to certain groups, like pregnant women and children. “Pregnant women, for example, need to be selective and thorough about their nutritional needs as they eat and drink for two,” she says. “Asking them to fast while pregnant could be uncomfortable or, at worst, dangerous, and therefore not worth the risk.”1

Additionally, as Dr. Feldman emphasizes, anyone experiencing an acute mental health crisis should not turn to fasting as a solution. “Fasting without proper guidance or consideration of one’s health status can result in dehydration, nutrient deficiencies, worsening of mental health symptoms, and disrupted sleep patterns,” he says.

How to Avoid Emotional Stress During Pregnancy

The Bottom Line
While it’s clear that fasting has several potential health benefits, including lowered glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, and the ability to help maintain a healthy weight, it’s less clear how it impacts mental health.1

There is some preliminary evidence that fasting can improve mood, enhance mental clarity, lower stress, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. But we are not at a place yet where mental health professionals are recommending fasting as a treatment for mental health issues.2

At the same time, many people have found fasting to be beneficial for their mental health and overall well being. For most of us, there’s no harm in trying fasting, especially if eased into gradually, with a focus on nutrient dense food during eating windows. Still, pregnant folks, children, people with a history of eating disorders, and people with certain underlying medical conditions shouldn’t fast.1

If you have questions about whether fasting is right for you, don’t hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider.

the 386,000 illegal immigrants documented as part of the Biden administration’s parole program have scheduled appointments to be arrested, to apply for asylum in the United States, and to be granted entrance to the country in Florida and Texas. Both states have strongly opposed the Biden administration’s border policies and have taken measures to reduce illegal immigration.

The Center for Immigration Studies explained that the data obtained from U.S. Customs and Border Protection shows that “initial landings” of illegal immigrants have been heavily concentrated in Florida and Texas; however, the “final destinations” of the illegal immigrants may be other states.
The Post Millennial reported that both Florida and Texas have transported large numbers of illegal immigrants to other states.

“This early evidence suggests that a great many of these inadmissible alien passengers, probably a majority, also initially land at international airports in Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’s Florida,” the Center for Immigration Studies stated. “In fact, Florida turns out to be the top landing and U.S. customs processing zone for this direct-flights parole-and-release program, tallying at nearly 326,000 of the initial arrivals from inception through February.”

The Biden administration’s program referenced in the Center for Immigration Studies’ data allows as many as “30,000 individuals” each month from Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela,
and Nicaragua to enter the United States.

The Post Millennial reported that the exact number of illegal immigrants being flown into the United States by the Biden administration to other locations has not yet been released; however, the data provided by the Center for Immigration Studies shows that approximately 326,000 have been flown to Miami, Florida, while 22,000 have been flown to Houston, Texas.

“Prior to program implementation in 2023, the [Miami] field office logged 4,607 customs officer encounters of the nine nationalities in FY 2021 and 3,508 in FY 2022,” the Center for Immigration Studies noted. “But from that 3,508 in fiscal 2022, the office logged a hair-raising spike to 186,722 in FY 2023 for the nine nationalities, most of them Cubans, Haitians, Venezuelans, and Nicaraguans.”

This is what you see in war.

In Biden’s campaign he urged people in other countries to “surge” the US southern border. When the Biden Administration occupied the White House, they completely opened our borders, and the US Border Patrol became the welcoming committee.

President Biden’s campaign manager has insisted that the chief executive is not talking “about shutting down the border” — despite Biden’s past overtures to Republicans about doing exactly that. Julie Chavez Rodriguez told the Washington Post in a profile published this week that “the president doesn’t talk about shutting down the border” and is “not advocating for shutting down the border.”

Earlier this year, however, while seeking to corral Republicans into backing a bipartisan Senate supplemental spending bill that included money for border security, Biden, 81, suggested that he would crack down on migration across the US-Mexico frontier.
“It’ll give me as president, the emergency authority to shut down the border until
it could get back under control,” Biden said back in January about the proposal.

“If that bill were the law today, I’d shut down the border right now and fix it quickly.”
Republicans have long pummeled Biden for the record-breaking levels of migration into the US during his administration. Polls have shown Biden underwater with most of the public on border security and illegal immigration.
“Under Crooked Joe Biden, every state is now a border state. Every town is now a border town,” former President Donald Trump, 77, bellowed during a campaign speech in Michigan Tuesday.

Back in March, Biden caused a stir among progressives by referring to the suspected murderer of 22-year-old Georgia medical student Laken Riley as an “illegal” during an off-the-cuff retort at his State of the Union address.
The president later suggested that he regretted using that word, but a spokesperson later claimed that Biden “absolutely did not apologize” for that.

Chavez Rodriguez is the first Latina to run the re-election campaign of a sitting president and is the daughter of the famed labor leader Cesar Chavez. “What people want to see is order and humanity in our immigration system,” she told the Washington Post. Early on in his presidency, Biden crowed about ripping up and rolling back a bevy of Trump’s past executive orders on immigration.

Recently, his administration has reportedly been contemplating significant executive action on the border amid the ongoing crisis. Thus far in fiscal year 2024, there have been 1.15 million encounters at the US-Mexico border, according to the most recent data from US Customs and Border Protection, more than at this point last year, which saw a record-breaking 2.48 million encounters.

The US Open Borders = Destruction of America!! What you Need to Know (rumble.com)
How the US State Department posted fliers and posters in South America, inviting them to come to the United States. The Biden Administration and our Government is taking orders from the United Nations and funding NGO’s which are working with the Cartels on both sides of the border. It is government funded human smuggling and trafficking.

This video shows how the cartels sell trafficking packages to the Mexico side of the US Border. Millions of people have illegally crossed our borders and there is chaos as mass illegal entries are happening 24-hours a day. The US cannot sustain this as America is on the verge of completely collapsing in the near future.

Illegal migrants are bringing in infectious diseases that America had eradicated long ago and are committing felony crimes in America. Yet, the Biden Administration refuses to acknowledge and/or take any accountability for this whatsoever!

You send your army to confront your enemy and Democrats see republicans as their enemy. It’s called illegals getting to vote. So red states turn blue. The definition of fraud and election interference at the same time. It’s called illegals getting to vote. This is no longer simply political, it’s a civil war between reps and Democrats and Democrats want complete and total control.

The government of the United States has become an evil cesspool of self-gratification.
It has turned its back on God, the patriots that served and died to acquire its freedoms
and the citizens that dwell within its realm. Also, to the citizens to whom it took an oath
“Under God” to protect. To those with honor?! I say phalanx in the armor of God! ⚒️

🚨ATTENTION🚨

They’re laughing at our pain. They’re laughing as we go broke. They’re laughing as our women are raped in the streets by illegals. They’re laughing as we can’t buy groceries. They’re laughing as we can’t get quality medical care.

They’re laughing as our borders are invaded.
They’re laughing as a slain officer is being laid to rest a few blocks away. They’re laughing now, but when Trump gets back in, they won’t be laughing. And I pray the retribution is beyond anything they’d ever imagine.

These three traitors to our country have a combined net worth of over a trillion dollar.
All three have committed treason and are still free plotting to do more damage to our country.
