Western Michigan is so prestigious, modern and spacious. It has a good learning environment with state of the art learning facilities, well educated Professors and the most unique thing is the unity in diversity. MWU has people from all over the world and this makes it very interesting its like you have the whole world in your hands. Through this diversity you learn more from others.
WMU is a world class University and its qualifications are much recognized by employers making you stand out from the rest as far as employment chances are concerned.

So far I am somewhat enjoying my time here. I have had some really awesome professors and instructors and had the opportunity to attend some really great classes. I have also had some not so great instructors as well, for 2 of my classes this semester my classmates and I have had to file complains against the instructors. However, the school has responded well both times and has done a good job at assisting us and helping us still succeed despite the instructors so that is very much appreciated. I don’t live on campus, I live in the area and commute, and I love Kalamazoo. I’ve lived here most of my life and it is a very nice place to live and to attend school. I wish there were more course offerings, I have found the catalogue to be rather sparse.
I have enjoyed my time at WMU more since COVID-19 ended. Online classes generally have a lot of work and you don't make very many connections. I love the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS), and since switching my major I have had a great academic experience and feel prepared to go out in my field. I have really liked my CHHS professors and advisors. The social scene can sometimes feel lacking, especially if you are not a huge partier. There are not many non-party events that happen on campus that are actually fun, but I can tell it's getting a little better. I both like and dislike living in Kalamazoo. When I first moved here the crime rates were very high and I didn't feel very safe on and off campus. I feel like it's definitely gotten better with students returning to campus.
