Waterford High School Reviews

I had a great time here! Excellent teachers and a wonderful community. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely a strong school. The strongest part was definitely the teachers, all of the department heads were amazing.
Waterford High School is known for being one of the best in the state. The teachers and admin work with you to ensure the students success in and out of the classroom. However, the counseling department has much to be desired. They expect every student to know how to go about the college experience and fail to be their when the students need them most. I think I would have had a much larger chance of gaining acceptance and scholarships if the counseling department did for me what they should have. Besides that, the school is amazing. Their art program is unbeaten while also having sports teams that can often compete with the money flush private schools. They have enough clubs and honor societies so everyone can become involved in the community and teachers willing to become advisors for any new club idea.
I am a 2022 graduate, and this school management team was very hard to work with during covid. They did many things that were against parties wishes, or simply did not ask for parent involvement when it came to changing around all of the different policies.
