Why does the web say Boy Kills World is a 2023 movie?
I just saw a commercial ad for the Theatrical release of Boy Kills World while watching a TV show.
Then when I googled it to get info about it the main Google info shows it's a 2023 movie, as does IMDB. Yet the movie hasn't even been released in theaters yet, and won't be until April 26th 2024... Which is 3 more days away.
Shouldn't the web be saying it's a 2024 movie since it's going to be released in 2024?
Because anytime I look up any other movie or TV show they always list the year as when it was originally released in, not the year before when it was presumably in production.
It premiered at TIFF in 2023
It premiered in 2023 (at the Toronto film festival). It's getting a wide release in 2024.
Movies are listed by when they premiered in a theater/streaming.
