Visited for lunch and opted for the daily specials: minced beef soup, salmon pate with tomato bread and scallops with prawns. Soup was ok, reminded me of a ragu that had been transformed into a soup. Nothing special but ok. The salmon pate was great....It had some beetroot ans salmon roe as granish and for extra flavor. Really good dish altough the bread was not at the same level. The marvellous house bread, which was included in the lunch saved it though. The scallop and prawn dish was awesome. Well cooked all around, the prawns maybe the best I have had. Big thumbs up for that! The service was polite and quick which was to expected. Only thing to complain was the price of a bottle of sparkling water, 4€. Other than that I not much negatives. The three courses with the water bottle 18€. Certainly not cheap for Lithuanian standards but I think well worth the money. Give it a try!More
My brother and I had dinner together at the restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. We ordered Wagyu beef carpaccio and tomato soup as first course, and Wagyu flank steak for main course. This was my second visit in under a week, we wanted to enjoy our last evening in the city with a nice meal. On our arrival we were welcomed and given time to order drinks and our food which all came out in a timely...manner. The first two courses were lovely, as was the third course however our waiter came over and presented quite abruptly with the bill! We were not offered a dessert or even the chance to look at the menu. We had seen what others had for dessert and were quite looking forward to having one and a coffee! However the ladies that were sitting next were offered another drink ! When we if we could have one the waiter said it was finished! We paid and left, I feel very dissatisfied as I had told my companion prior to going how lovely the restaurant was esp the dessert and now feel very let down! I am planning my next trip to the beautiful city and will be eating elsewhere.More
Had a very good food experience whilst visiting this place. We took everything to ahare so tried a lot of food and from everything we have tried I can personally recommend beef tartare, tuna tiradito, ceviche and octopus from the main courses. Because these dishes...really stood out and were well balanced. Scallops lacked something in them and were a bit bland and beef ribeye was okay, but saldy we got not medium rare as we’ve asked but medium/medium well so that was disappointing. Meat itself was okay but we’ve tried much better ones before so that was unfortunate as well. However the most disappointing thing was serivice. The guy that waited our table was a bit rude and not talkative at all. We didn’t receive enough of attention and he didn’t think to ask us how was the food. In the best restaurant in Kaunas I expected way more.More
This was an absolutely sensational experience. Such attention to detail and top notch service. They put the customer 100% first which many restaurants fail to do. This is a must visit. It really won’t disappoint! A meal, service and interior decor never to forget!
We had business lunch at this highly rated restaurant. Maybe a la carte is impressive and well liked (need to come back and make sure), but business lunch wasn’t even closed to good as we expected. Fish was super bland as was the sides, lacked...of flavor, warmth. Also I do believe that you shouldn’t pour sauce over the protein, as it ruins it delicate flavors. Probably one of the best restaurants in Kaunas, very rich menu, excellent wine selection. Located centrally, pet friendly if you eat out side. Let’s not allowed inside. Quite expensive.
One of best experiences i’ve had! Amazing fresh and propely made. Tuma tataki is great! Athmosphere is very elegant, fresh and modern. Tip, best place to take toilet- selfies, roof is made of mirror😀
We were here with our best friends and enjoyed a combo of courses. We tried out a variety of dishes and all in all we were satisfied. The service was excellent. Good guidance and very friendly. We wrapped up by tasting the local liquor and...beware, it’s strong! 😅More
This restaurant is not trying to satisfy customer needs at all! Even when we asked manager - he was quite rude and didn't try to help us at all. They delete negative comments on facebook and never pay attentions to feedback. Havent try food there,...but how they behave with customers- don't want to go there.More
Uoksas has for along time been the very best restaurant in Kaunas, but now there is a firm challenger. Uoksas may still (just) have it in terms of creativity, but Dia wins hands down in class and sophistication. Kaunas is now being spoiled with this...excellent restaurant, the chef is apparently only 25yrs old, the food and service is excellent. Take a client to Uoksas to warm up the deal, but to Dia to close the deal. Good news is that they are both on the same street.More
The most memorable part of the meal was their bread other than that the food will fill you up. Far off from being amazing as they are trying to portray themselves.
My friend took me here for lunch and I was quite impressed with the decor, and the service. I got a vegetarian burger which was delicious. Hope to come back one day to try more dishes!
