This is my 5,000th film logged on Letterboxd, so naturally it had to be something by David DeCoteau, the patron saint of my experience on this website. Voodoo Academy is a very early work, possibly his earliest film which is dealing entirely with beefcake and dudes in tighty whities. He hasn't quite got the formula worked out yet, there is a ton of plot here and actual interesting thematic discussions about faith and science. So that drags a bit.
