Local trains coming from NCR will also be terminated one or two stations before New Delhi Railway Station. Its informal orders have been issued. However, trains coming from long routes will be allowed to reach New Delhi Railway Station. It is also being said that the metro will also be stopped a few stations earlier.

This is happening for the first time that trains are being stopped even before reaching New Delhi in view of the security arrangements for the VIP programme. This never happened on 26 January and 15 August as well. Security has been tightened at the borders of all the states including the Ghazipur border.

Mahila Khap Panchayats have announced to hold Mahila Panchayat on Sunday in front of the new Parliament House in support of the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar. There is every possibility of a large number of women and farmers coming to Delhi in this panchayat. In such a situation, security arrangements have been tightened on all the borders of Delhi, especially on the Ghazipur border on Saturday night.

The Delhi Police has received more than 50 companies of the police force from the Ministry of Home Affairs. A senior New Delhi police official said that 2.5 to 3000 policemen would be deployed for the security of the inauguration programme. Of these, 50 percent are women policemen. Police personnel deployed in security have been strictly instructed not to allow anyone to go near the inauguration program or the new Parliament House. Only invited guests, MPs, Chief Ministers and Governors of states will be allowed to participate in the programme.

If women and farmers reach near the new Parliament House to hold Mahila Panchayat, they should be taken to Jantar Mantar, where the protest is going on. If women do not go to Jantar Mantar, they will be taken into custody.

Another senior police officer told that the security system from the borders of Delhi to the new Parliament House will be six-tier. Security is being commanded by Vikramjit, Joint Commissioner of Police, New Delhi Range. Apart from this, several senior deputy commissioners of police have been given the responsibility of security. Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora will continue to review the security arrangements throughout the day. Security will remain tight till the end of the programme.
