Who Is Vanessa Villela? Meet the New 'Selling Sunset' Realtor for Season 4

Selling Sunset Season 4 is finally here and if the continuation of the drama from Season 3 was not enough, there are two new realtors joining the Oppenheim Group to stir things up.

In May 2021, Netflix announced Vanessa Villela, alongside Emma Hernan, would be making their debut in Season 4 of Selling Sunset as two new realtors.

So, who is Vanessa Vilella? Newsweek has everything you need to know.

Who is Vanessa Villela?

Vanessa Villela is an award-winning Mexican-American actress turned LA-based Realtor.

She began her career starring in numerous TV shows and soap operas such as Una Maid en Manhattan and El Señor de los Cielos, after attending the Centro de Educación Artística de Televisa, a performing arts and entertainment school in Mexico.

Her big break came in 2005 as Angela Donoso in the telenovela El cuerpo del deseo.

She then went on to star as Victoria Arisméndi in Eva Luna and Elena Serrano in En otra piel.

Vilella's last acting role was as Margaret Anderson in the American anthology series Milagros de Navidad which aired in 2017. That same year, Villela officially became an American citizen.

According to her official bio on The Oppenheim Group website, as a realtor Vanessa "brings to every deal her unique skillset, stellar communication skills, and keen ability to connect with buyers and sellers. She loves nothing more than helping clients better their lives."

Outside of real estate, Vanessa is involved in charitable work. For example, she is a supporter of iFaw, an international fund for animal welfare, and is a member of Naam Yoga Los Angeles.

The news Vanessa would be joining the cast was announced in May 2021 via the official Netflix Twitter account.

The post teased the Oppenheim couches would be "a little more crowded" in Season 4, with Villela and entrepreneur Emma Hernan joining the show.

The actor-turned-realtor took to her Instagram to share her excitement about landing the role, describing the job as a dream come true.

She penned under the image of herself: "Dreams do come true. It is with great honor and excitement that the official announcement was made today about me joining the beautiful and fun cast of one of the top Netflix shows, Selling Sunset, and the amazing team and company of Real Estate The Oppenheim Group.

"I am so excited! Not only because I was able to manifest this dream of blending my background in acting with my latest passion in real estate but because I want to help empower and show others to never give up on themselves or your dreams. I'm beyond grateful and blessed with this next chapter of my life. I can't wait to have you and the audience personally watch how it unfolds and I thank all of you for being on this journey with me!"

Villela is not the first actress to appear on Selling Sunset. OG Oppenheim Group member Chrishell Stause starred as Amanda Dillon on All My Children and Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives.

Making her debut in the first episode of Selling Sunset Season 4, Villela reflects: "I am so excited and blessed to be surrounded by successful realtors.

"I have had a lot of experience where I've worked with women that are competitive and mean. I know how to deal with that."

As if there wasn't enough drama on Selling Sunset, Christine Quinn teased to US Weekly in June 2021, Villela and Hernan's arrival could throw a spanner in the works.

She said: "They are in different stages in their real estate [careers] and obviously, it definitely stirs the pot a little bit. But I will say they're really lovely."

If you are a fan of newbie Villela, there is some good news. Vilella is set to return for Season 5 of the reality show which will land on screens in 2022.

Selling Sunset Seasons 1 to 4 are streaming on Netflix.
