WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished tied for fifth place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Preview at River Greens G.C. on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 302, which was just one stroke behind third place Muskingum. Otterbein won the event with a team score of 281.
Freshman
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led Mount Union with a 72 and earned a top 10 finish, sophomore
Logan McCarrell (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) also carded a round in the 70s, shooting a 73. Seniors
Ryan Shinko (Avon Lake) and
Ian Smith (Cambridge) rounded out the Raiders team score with a 76 and 81 respectively.
The Raiders return to action on Saturday, April 13 for the first round of the Wooster Nye Intercollegiate at Wooster C.C.
