Alexa Chung is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Tom Sturridge.
The 40-year-old model and TV presenter has apparently been sharing the happy news with family and close pals ahead of the loved-up pair tying the knot in a “classy” wedding set to take place this summer.
Prior to dating 38-year-old actor Tom - who has starred in films such as The Boat That Rocked, Like Minds and Being Julia and more recently been seen in Netflix fantasy series The Sandman - Alexa has had several high profile relationships.
Her most serious before this was with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, who she had a four-year romance with from 2007 to 2011, before briefly reuniting in 2014. Though the pair ultimately ended up parting ways, they are still thought to have remained pals. Other famous exes include Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard.
And it’s not only Alexa that has dated people in the spotlight, as husband-to-be Tom was previously in a relationship with actress Sienna Miller. The former couple, who were briefly engaged, were together for four years and share 11-year-old daughter Marlowe, who was born in 2012. They split in 2020 and Sienna, 42, recently had a baby girl, whose name hasn't been revealed, with new boyfriend Oli Green, 27. But both Alexa and Tom and Sienna and Oli seemed to get on great, as they have all been spotted hanging out together.
Speaking about Alexa’s upcoming wedding plans, a source is said to have told The Sun: “Alexa has confirmed to her friends that she is indeed engaged to Tom and she is over the moon. She is in a great place and seems completely head over heels for him. They’re a great match. They have been hard at work planning a wedding with all of their close pals there. It won’t be a massive over the top affair, but a smaller, classier and cooler bash.” The Mirror has reached out to Alexa’s reps for further comment on this story.
Tom and Alexa first went public with their romance at Wimbledon in July 2022 – and were pictured kissing in the seats behind his ex Sienna and new love Oli, though it is thought they had been secretly dating for a while beforehand. But it was almost a year until the couple made their red carpet debut together at the Met Gala in May 2023. They then sparked engagement rumours last year when Alexa was reportedly spotted with a ring on her wedding finger.
