Ultravox – Three Into One

Not a bad remaster at all, this one. I compared it to my original UK copy, and, some differences noted, but this pressing is holding up a flame of its own. Very impressed, as I rarely give any remaster a thumbs up.

Looking at the other reviews I can breathe a sigh of relief as my copy sounds great. No rumbling or pops or clicks. Did give it a wash on my project cleaner, but that’s something I do with all new releases out of habit.
Sounds great, and I know the sound of these songs like I know the back of my hand. If anything was wrong I’d hear it.
Even though I’ve got original albums on vinyl and early 90s CDs, I would be very interested if Scott managed to release the other 3 albums again. I’d have my debit card in my sweaty palm the minute a reissue program was announced!

Classic compilation that sounds A+++++++. Yes, you can get all the tracks elsewhere, notably in that little Island box from a few years ago, but the mastering on this CD is imo much superior.

This is a nice sounding compilation of early Ultravox. I would like they stayed longer with this punky style and sound.

I was tempted to purchase this but the comments stating “great pressing only a few clicks or pops” is not convincing. I’ve been buying 30-50 year old vinyl without even a crackle, let alone annoying clicks and pops! So, no thanks, got the original UK.

This green and black edition that I just purchased looks and sounds excellent. This is vastly superior to the white and blue edition that I bought last year (I returned that one for a refund on ebay). Bought this one direct and is still in stock at the time of writing. Sounds amazing with hardly any background noise at all. There are a handful of clicks but that's all. Looking forward to the Visage Singles Collection in the summer. Well done Scott. By the way, this version of Quiet Men is the 12" remix.

I bought one of these blue and white ones about a month ago. First of all I would like to say that Scott at Rubellan did a great job on the remastering. The music sounds excellent. However, the vinyl quality was absolutely dreadful. There was a huge amount of background rumble and rustling and very loud clicks and pops throughout. I was very disappointed and returned it for a refund. It's such a shame because the green and black edition gets very favourable reviews. Unfortunately that version is very hard to come by but the blue and white ones seem to be everywhere.

Arrived in perfect condition. Sounds great! I’ve never heard Quiet Men quite like this! Is this a different single remix? The green/black swirl is a gorgeous, dynamic, quiet, flat pressing. My Sex loud is a real treat. Eno is here. Loving on this release. Great job Rubellan Remasters! Made in Canada.

Scott at Rubellan has done an outstanding job with this. The sound is clear, detailed, rich, and dynamic, and the pressing is flat and quiet. I highly recommend this one.

Usually I steer clear of coloured pressing as I often find them to be sub-standard but this pressing is superb. Very quiet with only a couple of pops (which could happen on any vinyl old or new).
