He married Margaret Wotton Marchioness of Dorset on 6 January 1509. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 10 October 1530, in Bashall Eaves, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom, at the age of 53, and was buried in Astley, Warwickshire, England.
