Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful family Sunday lunch for 4. I looked at reviews a few days before when trying to find somewhere in the areas to eat and the White bull came up trump's. We arrived over an hour early due to our previous plans ending early, with...a plan to sit in the beer garden but the owners said that we were allowed to be seated earlier than planned. We had two roast beef and 2 chicken breasts. The plates were loaded with roasted parsnips, roast potatoes, mashed swede, leeks, a stuffing ball and large Yorkshire pudding, and a sharing dish of carrots and cauliflower. The main meal was delicious and all homemade no Aunt Bessie rubbish that some places fob you off with. For dessert we had Alabama fudge cake, salted caramel cheesecake and two lots of profiteroles. For a Sunday afternoon it wasn't too busy, there were a lot of reserved tables for other diners that were due. We would definitely recommend the White Bull and would return if in the area again.More

We dropped in here for lunch with our pooch. We sat in one of the garden sheds which was cosy and great for our anxious mutt - meant we could eat in peace with no distractions for him. The food was hot, fresh and delicious....Recommend the hot beef and cheese baguette with the dipping jus. Chips were awesome. Will return.More

Once again the Sunday lunch is a triumph! Been coming here a while now on a Sunday. The lamb is excellent and, a very good price! It’s unusual to see lamb on a Sunday lunch menu because of the price but these guys never fail...to supply and it’s brilliantly cooked a served. Also have to say the lads behind the bar make it a pleasure to eat here. I am writing this whilst sat letting my latest lunch go down!More

My wife and I called in for our evening meal whilst staying nearby, we hadn’t booked but were found a table in a very busy pub, I chose this pub after reading the reviews, our drinks order was taken quickly followed by our food order....Staff appeared very busy, but our food arrived in good time, my wife had tagliatelle and I had a brisket and mash with horseradish. To be honest the food was average, my wife wasn’t sure the chicken in her meal was actually chicken, and my brisket needed a bit longer in the cooker in my opinion, the meal wasn’t bad, just wasn’t very good either. Staff were so busy we had to wait five minutes just to pay the bill, so maybe with the pub being so busy we just dropped in on a not so good dayMore

Throughly enjoyed everything about our time here, from the friendly and helpful service, to range of drinks and especially the food. A busy kitchen which clearly has skilled and capable chefs. Visited on the pizza and pasta night (Wednesday) which included main course and drink...under £13. A lovely stroll down from Tattershall Lakes on the canal path (or there is a pavement on the entire road stretch to the pub). Kids loved it and free pool too was a winner. Also little 'sheds' with heaters outside if you want a drink and shelter from the British weather. Nothing cloudy about this place, will certainly revisit when in this area again .Many ThanksMore

Five of us had Sunday lunch amazing, really good home cooked food. Proper Yorkshire's, proper roasties and the vegetables cooked to perfection and for a change more than enough gravy for everyone unlike most places. The young couple serving and behind the bar are very...friendly and professional, also many thanks to the chef who I believe is the landlord. What a find...More

Ate here twice this week, first as a party of 6 on Monday evening, all the meals were superb , the rack of ribs was the biggest I have ever seen. Service was very good. We ate again on Thursday lunch as a party of...3 , again service was good , food was very nice again. Next time we’re in the area we will definitely return.More

Arranged a family lunchtime visit based on a recommendation, the pub was quite quiet as word doesn’t seem to have got around yet; I’m sure it will soon. Menu is good and varied, with good choices for vegetarians and vegans (trust me when I say...that even in this day and age, some rural eateries are still far behind). Everyone in our party of 8 had a really pleasant experience, the food was spot on for everyone, the vegan ‘chicken’ wrap was really tasty, the mushroom stroganoff was very good and the cauliflower wings were cracking. Aside from the vegan options, the steak, chicken wings, and baguette were very well received. Clean plates all around! All in all a most pleasurable experience with excellent staff and food. This is going to be a regular venue for us. Thank you, Coningsby needed itMore

Four of us ate here tonight for a very early birthday (december) meal for me before a friend moves a very long way away at the end of this month. The food and the staff are amazing. Thank you Emma who was our main server....We all really enjoyed everything!! But didn't have any space left to try the desserts which is quite unheard of for us. Will definitely be back for food. And it's my new local so I'll be back just for a drink too. 😋😁More

Came here with my husband and parents for our evening meal, we was welcomed by lovely staff who gave us a choice of our preferred table. There is a good range of choice available on the menu including a different meal deal every evening, everything...was very reasonably priced. All food was freshly homemade and was cooked to perfection with lots of flavour. Portion sizes are really good, we all left full and happy with our menu choice Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the local areaMore

First time we have visited the pub and we were very impressed. Waitress was polite and made some helpful suggestions regarding the menu. Brisket was beautifully cooked, gammon was cooked well and lean, bangers and mash wholesome and tasty and the hunters chicken had lovely...flavours. Will be going back when in the area again. Highly recommend.More

The staff were very welcoming and managed to accommodate our large family group, albeit with a squeeze. A good selection of food on the menu and with each of our party choosing something different, I can say all was well presented and thoroughly enjoyed. A...good selection of beers and spirits and a pool table in the lounge.More

We came here for some dinner as I used to live in Coningsby when I was a kid and visiting to pay my respects to 2 childhood besties They White Bull were very accommodating and extremely helpful. We had a fantastic meal and full compliments...to the kitchen. Highly recommend this establishment but best to book in advance but if dining room booked up then nothing wrong with the bar area. Thank you for a fab meal and hospitality. Steve & DeborahMore
