    Front seat removal

    Hi all.
Have some rust issues in both floorpans, so thought, ill just quickly remove the front seats bases.
    Ha.
Is it just my D1 that has the nuts hidden by the chassis rails.
Of course I've tried undoing the bolts but they just spin.
    PLEASE HELP

Hmm... I'll wander out and look at mine later today. It has all the carpets out, so I should be able to see.

Of course, I can't say if mine are standard, it's a 30 yo car, but the outer ones, nearest the doors, are just a bolt and nut. The inner ones also, only they are a lot more awkward to get to. On the passenger side there is a metal plate that would need to come off first. Looks like a heat shield or something.
