Putting animals in cages isn't really my cup of tea however, if you really want to throw some nuts at a monkey then this is perfect for you. It has been quite run down over the years as numbers dwingled but apparently there is someone who is throwing some money at it to revamp the place!
My first time to Dudley Castle and wow so impressed. We were all met at the gates and guided in, The tour guide Amy from the Castle was very knowledgeable and really knew the Castle and grounds. Fantastic ghost night, I would highly recommend the Castle for a day out or for ghostly happenings. Brilliant thank you

My family and l have just had the pleasure of our 4 year old granddaughters party at the zoo. The zoo was as usual lovely. We were allowed in prior and following the party. All children and one parent per child were also able to enjoy the zoo free. We were collected by the train reserved especially for us. The building where the party was held . Was clean warm and decorated to suit the age of the children . The two staff hosting the party were excellent and very knowledgable about the animals the children held and stroked. They managed to entertain a group of children under five keeping them amused.party games were enjoyed plus drawing and sticking whilst waiting for tea. The tiger (lad) who came after the meal for photos and for the children’s amusement was great.. the birthday cake which was part of the package was specially made not cheap shop bought. Prizes and goody bags were very good quality contents. The package was well worth its cost. My daughter and son in law only had to pay the bill. Fantastic experience, for every one who went .
Thank you for your review and we're delighted your granddaughter enjoyed her birthday party here at Dudley Zoo. We will pass on your thanks to all staff involved in hosting the party and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.
I went to Dudley zoo today and was really disappointed. They have obviously spent a fortune on a gift shop and entrance but the rest of the zoo is really run down and in poor condition. I have not been for years but have loads of fun memories and brought the kids here all the time when they were little. The animal enclosures were tired, boring and looked like they had no love. The whole place needs thousands spending on it to give a lick of paint. The sealions were in the water but until they got out could not see them as their water was filthy!!! On entrance there is pressure to gift money and packaged as included in the price but this is optional. Even the animals looked depressed!
We went to the zoo yesturday and we went to lemur wood. The keeper in there Courtney was amazing, talking to her I could see her passion for the animals in her care, she said that she’s found her path in life, she told us all about her lemurs and the individuals characters there it was very inspiring. You should be proud to have her at your zoo as she is a credit, hope to see her on many more visits.
Thank you Courtney! ❤
