Just as 'Bridgerton' fans were rejoicing about season two going on floors, Lady Whistledown, spilled the tea late last night and revealed that the drama has been renewed for seasons three and four as well.
Fans of the regency drama were over the moon when the official confirmation came on the show's official Instagram page in the form of a letter from Lady Whistledown. "It seems we have a rather special announcement.
Bridgerton shall return for season three and four., This author shall have to purchase more ink," read the announcement.
However, while sharing "the most joyous of news" the makers did not disclose any details or dates. It was announced in January that just like in the Julia Quinn books, the upcoming chapter will focus on Anthony Bridgerton (played by Jonathan Bailey).
While Bailey didn't reveal too much about the upcoming season, he did drop one hint. "I'll say this," he told a magazine, "Watch out for bees."
Earlier this month, the show hogged headlines when it was announced that the show's lead man Rege Jean Page who played the Duke of Hastings will be leaving the show.
In the announcement, it was confirmed that Jonathan Bailey who playes Anthony Bridgerton will be on a quest to find a Viscountess. The show will have several new characters introduced in its second season. Charithra Chandran, will play Edwina Sharma, and Simone Ashley will portray
Kate Sharma.
Shelley Conn, Calam Lynch and Rupert Young are also joining the cast as Mary Sharma, Theo Sharpe and Jack, respectively.
