i bought a new copy from my local record store in Atlanta with CAT # tplp5r but dont see any listing for that in discogs. its def a newer pressing but im not having any luck tracking down what it is- This is the best sounding version of this album,
sleeve opens from the top not side, but like with all the other DMM pressings the info on the sleeve doesn’t align with what’s on the vinyl, bonus track not mentioned anywhere
The correct track-listing that plays on the vinyl is ,
Side A
1. Traitor
2. Motor crash
3. Birthday
4. Delicious Demon
5. Mama
6. Cold sweat
Side B
1. Blue Eyed Pop
2. Dues
3. Sick for toys
4. F***ing in rhythm and sorrow
5. Take Some Petrol Darling - Why all versions are LP format? Please, make 2x12", deep cut version for those who who strives for maximum quality
- Edited 10 months agoOLI are currently releasing Life’s too Good on very limited brightly coloured vinyl (pink, orange, blue, yellow). I think the editions are ‘around 500’ of each colour (eg, the orange is 500, but the Rough Trade yellow is 700 . . . ). The accompanying fluoro-coloured cover artwork + inner sleeve is skittles to the eye. They are scintillatingly beautiful, a must-have for any Sugarcubes / Bjork fan. For me Life’s too Good is the key Sugarcubes album, this is the period I first saw Bjork live. This coloured vinyl series does the album proud.
I played the orange vinyl and it sounds great to me. I tried to find my original to compare it, but couldn’t find it, strangely I couldn’t find the CD either. I did find my 12” copy of Deus, so I played it – it was perfect, but that isn’t surprising for a well-produced 12”. So, the 12” of Deus is perfect, the trebles and drumming are clear and resilient (as they are on the orange album), Bjork’s voice is strong and in good balance to the music. The difference then between the 12” single and the orange album is the 12” single plays louder and sounds fuller - an awesome experience. However, though it is interesting, it is not fair to compare a viny album with the original 45rpm 12” single. - I’ve always loved this album. I have the following 2008 pressing :

Are these better sounding or is it just multiple colored pressings? Just wondering if I should try to buy a copy in Orange!
