His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales will arrive in Canada this weekend, travelling through Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Manitoba. In advance of his visit, George sat down with Prince Charles at Clarence House, the Prince's residence in London — the first time the Prince has ever done a Canadian TV interview.
George and Prince Charles talked about a wide range of subjects, including charity, the Prince's sense of duty, and his many long-standing passions, including architecture and organic food.
They also talked about the Prince's dedication to Canada, and his views on multiculturalism and diversity. "Unity through diversity," he said. "The key is to encourage diversity, that you can create it. You create the unity through recognizing people’s individual cultures and outlook.”
You can catch the whole interview in a special half-hour show, Prince of Wales: The Conversation with George Stroumboulopoulos, which airs Tuesday May 20 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NDT) on CBC.
