Inside Last Night’s Fashion-Filled The Prince’s Trust Global Gala
If Monday (the first in May) is considered fashion’s biggest night out, then last night was most certainly a preview. The Prince’s Trust Global Gala took place at Manhattan’s Cipriani 25 Broadway and was hosted by the Chairman of Prince’s Trust Global Ambassador Board, Lionel Richie, and Global Ambassador, Edward Enninful OBE.
It’s an event that generally calls for a fashion-forward group of attendees, but, of course, Enninful helped to amp up the style wattage. Sisters Bella and Gigi Haded looked exquisite, the former dressed in a slinky black vampy look, and the latter was dressed in pure pink Valentino. Also in Valentino was Naomi Campbell in a custom off-the-shoulder gown. More guests in attendance included Lily James, Charlotte Tilbury, Kate Moss, Phoebe Dynevor, Ricardo Tisci, and Stella Maxwell.
Fashion aside, the night raises funds for the Trust’s programs, which were founded in 1976, and serve to find work placement and employment opportunities for youths in the UK and more the 20 other countries. During the gala, guests heard from individuals who had directly benefited from The Trust. At the gala, Co-host and Chairman of the Global Ambassador Board Lionel Richie told the audience, “We are so grateful to everyone who has supported our ambition to help more young people here in the United States realize their dreams, and I am proud to be part of this vital work." And he would continue to treat the evening’s attendees with a special musical performance of his songs “Dancing on The Ceiling” and “All Night Long.”
More Supporters of the night included Charlotte Tilbury, Michael Kors, and Conde Nast. Of the occasion, Enninful OBE commented, “The event celebrates the many young people on Prince’s Trust programs around the world who are working to build a better future. Since becoming a Global Ambassador, it has been wonderful to see the Trust extend its reach internationally and support even more young people from such diverse backgrounds.”
