This made for TV screen adaption was surprisingly compelling despite the obvious budget limitations. Tom Long was amazing as Brendan Abbott as was the whole supporting cast. I absolutely loved the soundtrack! Such a spectacular 90s time capsule!
I grew up in Australia during the peak of Brenden Abbott’s crime spree across the country. Fun facts, my Mum served him breakfast just before he pulled off a $450,000 heist and I lived in the complex where he was arrested in Darwin. I also spent my youth watching TV movies with my Nan, somehow we missed this one. Such a shame, because I would have loved to hear her commentary as she inhaled her post lunch durry. Nan would have also complained that she couldn’t hear them talking over the bloody music, and she would have been right. This is exactly what you’d expect from a Channel 9 Midday Movie, I really wish it had gotten the Underbelly treatment…
Made for Australian tv movie about a bank robber who escaped capture for many years. Then escaped and avoided capture again.
Not terrible, but I would have been really annoyed if I had to pay money to see this in a theater. A little draggy in places.
