The Other Side of the Coin - A film about Tom Puiwa, an Artist and Coin Cutter residing in Berlin, Germany. He collects coins from all over the world, many come from donation, and he cuts out the detail on the other side of the coin. Once the coins are cut they are made into pendants for necklaces.
I met Tom on a chance meeting whilst in Berlin a few months back and he invited me to his studio to see more of his work. Tom's surname, Puiwa, was given to him by a guru and it translates from Hawaiian as 'surprise'.
