The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was a great film

I didn’t see this movie until 2021 and it was during a pivotal time in my life. The message of the film really affected me and helped me reassess my life and goals.

What’s more is it’s become a useful barometer for friendship. When I meet someone new I’ll ask what their favorite movies are and if they’ve seen Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Almost without fail, the people who dislike the movie rarely turn out to be someone I get along with.

I’m not advocating for basing all relationships on a film or specifically on whether or not people like or dislike this film in particular. For me, It’s just interesting how it seems to be a reliable predictor of values and compatibility with other people.
