Hugo Davenport Daily Telegraph (UK) The film has an air of hollow grandeur. The music and songs are mostly pretty awful, the story single-stranded, and Scar's evil hyena henchmen hard to tell apart. Worst of all, the lions often look not so much noble as smug. Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Deborah Peterson St. Louis Post-Dispatch The Lion King is short on humor, long on melodrama and AWOL on fun. It was intended to be important and is pretentious instead. Dec 22, 2021 Full Review Jay Carr Boston Globe Make no mistake, the magnitude of the achievement here far outweighs any shortcomings. The Lion King is both populist blockbuster and royal treat. Dec 21, 2021 Full Review Quentin Falk Sunday Mirror (UK) As spectacular as anything Disney has ever done. Rated: 4/5 Mar 1, 2024 Full Review Manuel São Bento MSB Reviews From the gorgeous animation to the beautiful score, from the emotionally compelling story to the life journey Simba goes through, from the chill-inducing tearful moments to the loud laughs… The Lion King is just perfect. A masterpiece! Rated: A+ Jul 24, 2023 Full Review Carson Timar ButteredPopcorn While there have been Disney films that have impressed and succeeded in certain areas, it is incredibly rare to find a film with the all-around talent and consistency of The Lion King. Ben W Great! Classic! Amazing music and touching story. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/11/23 Full Review A it's a wonderful movie. I didn't get to watch it in Theaters because I was too young at the time. it's a great movie and all the kids and parents will love it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/02/23 Full Review Артем Б There is only one memorable scene in this movie that can affect many people emotionally, but that's about it. The rest of the film is unable to offer us anything but stupid humor, grimaces, and constant screams. So tell me the truth, do you remember anything from The Lion King other than that incredibly emotional scene where Mufasa died and Hakuna Matata . No, by this you can generally understand what kind of film it is. I don't know, maybe I'm a little strange in sympathy, but the emotional scenes in "The Rescuers", "The Fox and the Hound", "Pocahontas", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "Mulan" captured me more than this movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/07/24 Full Review Audience Member Loved the movie! The scores are great and the voice acting is fantastic! Unlike movies of our times, The Lion King delves into themes that actually connect with me, the naiveness and perceived constraint of children, which later evolves into a fight for justice. Unlike other movies that make twist villains with no impact, Scar acts an intimidating antagonist who is developed well (although obviously, not intended to be relatable). Without question, The Lion King is a movie for the ages! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/05/24 Full Review Zafir A Its really bad it has very bad visual and it has a very bad plot and its not long enough to explain the movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/01/24 Full Review Noe G Lion King is one of my favorite Disney films from 1994. I give this film a. 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
