The Lion King: The Gift [Deluxe Edition] Tracklist
The deluxe edition of The Lion King: The Gift was released to coincide with Beyoncé’s visual album, BLACK IS KING, which premiered on July 31, 2020. The deluxe album removes the various interludes from the original while adding three songs. Those are Bey’s June 2020 single, “BLACK PARADE,” its extended version, and an instrumental remix of “FIND YOUR WAY BACK” by MeLo-X.
The film reconnects Bey with many of the artists involved in the album, including Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, and JAY-Z.
Beyoncé first unveiled BLACK IS KING’s existence via her website on June 27, 2020, and a trailer was released the following day.

“Black Is King” means black is regal and rich, history, purpose and heritage.
I worked with a diverse group of very gifted directors, and actors, and creatives from all around the world to reimagine the story of The Lion King…With this visual album, I wanted to present elements of Black history and African tradition, with a modern twist and a universal message, and what it truly means to find your self-identity and build a legacy,
My hope for this film is that it should be global perception of the word “Black,” which is always made inspiration of love, and strength ,and beauty to me….I pray that everyone sees the beauty and resilience of our people
