Dana S This movie was lighthearted yet poignant; it brought back memories of experiencing old cultural traditions and the stigma that sometimes comes with it, I realized how far we've come in embracing the old with the new so our world could change for the better inclusively. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/30/23 Full Review Chris M Loved it. I always ask myself three questions after I see a movie: did I laugh, did I cry and did the movie make me think? This movie checked all of the boxes, a rarity for me when I watch a movie these days. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Grant A The last conception was unique as a coming out movie since it did so with a cool ethnic twist to it. Lovlee Carrol's scene stealing performance was a delight to behold has the film shifted between a display of traditional values, followed by the cultural changes that have evolved in regards to gender identity and conception. The ending was an amusing surprise that played well with the movies overall theme and I would encourage anyone to take a peek at this particular slice of life. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Great Screenplay The Last Conception (2020). I loved this movie. It had elements of two of my favorite movies: the clash of cultures in Where's the Party Yaar? (2003) and the difficulty of coming out to your own family in Happiest Season (2020). A great screenplay by Gabriel Constans with its constant twists and turns kept me interested throughout the movie. Spoiler alert: Another reason I liked it is because I'm a Buddhist. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Super sweet movie with unique twists I've never seen in a family Film before- lgbtq relationships, spiritualism etc. very cool!
