Will B Not for me, incredibly boring movie. Long winded, not much of a storyline. Very gangster like, you can predict the ending within the first 10 minutes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Brooklyn R This movie was honestly pretty intriguing most of the time. I'm impatient so there were parts that I felt I needed to skip through (only by 10-30 seconds) but I'd always go back to see facial expressions, or details that i may have missed, and whatnot. I think overall it was a well done film, the ending had me in tears which is saying something- I got attached to the characters as the storyline progressed. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/10/24 Full Review Mike S Almost all of the critics' reviews were positive. Did I watch the same movie they did? I kept waiting for something else to happen - and it never did. The movie just ended. Can I have my hour and 48 minutes back? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/29/24 Full Review PARWEZ A For all the near future stuff and all the sci-fi elements, it's a character drama Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review Akhand T If you want to see a epic movie. Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) The writing is so strong and the performances so good that they feel like real people. Feb 1, 2024 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) I like this film quite a lot. It's sharp, it's fast and also slow. Feb 1, 2024 Full Review Robert Levin Newsday This is a compelling sci-fi movie, one that does not pander to the usual expectations. Rated: 3/4 Jan 31, 2024 Full Review Charles Mudede The Stranger (Seattle, WA) The Kitchen is something like the dub mix of Mike Davis's Planet of Slums and William Gibson's All Tomorrow's Parties. Mar 21, 2024 Full Review Michael Ward Should I See It Kaluuya and Tavares seem to have only scratched the surface of what this story potentially could become. Rated: 3/5 Feb 6, 2024 Full Review Mark Meszoros The News-Herald (Willoughby, OH) While The Kitchen simmers for too long more than once, it is effective when it boils. That certainly goes for its final, tension-filled stretch. Rated: 2.5/4 Feb 1, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews
