La clave reserva, La clave Reserva, 陈酿的关键
Scorsese is just levels above pretty much every other filmmaker. He literally "recreated" a Hitchcock film, perfectly.
brian de palma: no one can pay homage to hitch as well as i
marty scorsese: hold my champagne
This nine-minute short film can be watched here: The Key to Reserva
Important Edit: It turns out that this project is NOT real, but in fact an advertisement for a champagne company. Bravo to them for making it seem so real. I am leaving my review below from when I thought that is was an actual, real project...because, well, they got me...

The main thing that I got from watching this short film is that Martin Scorsese is a man with a passion and a reverence for cinema. His admiration and respect for Alfred Hitchcock is evident in every word and action while he is looking at the lost script.
And then to actually shoot and create film from…
so i guess this turned out to be an ad for freixenet cava champagne but it’s scorsese doing hitchcock and michael stuhlbarg is in it what more could you want? no other ad will ever be able to top this
"It's one thing to preserve a film that has been made. It's another to preserve a film that's not been made. "
Short Review:
A beautiful and charming love letter to cinema — as you can often find in Scorsese’s work and interviews — it’s a breezy short that is often made with much love.
Would Recommend!
"it's one thing to preserve a film that has been made, it is another to preserve a film that has not been made" says Martin Scorsese.
Marty is so passionate about cinema, that it is hard to believe that he is in the film industry for almost 5 decades, because his passion is very kid like.
The way he ended it with that "Rear Window" Voyeurism... this is a work of a genius... this is some impersonation of Hitchcock and Scorsese totally nailed it.. !!
An amazingly fun short. Now I just really hope Scorsese makes a Hitchcockian thriller again.
One of the most artistically invigorating commercials ever made. Scorsese masterfully mimics Hitchcock’s style to craft a loving tribute that doubles as a ridiculously entertaining short in its own right (and triples as a means to sell champagne).
So you mean to tell me this isn’t an actual unfinished/missing Hitchcock screenplay? Scorsese, stop playing with my emotions! Scorsese is so funny in this, his facial expressions and acting (just him being himself) are so credible. Lots of references to Hitchcock’s film. The actual filmed scenes were great and the editing when they stab a guy with a broken lightbulb was fantastic!
