The Irish Connection is released through BMF Records/EMI. The Irish Connection features Brian’s interpretations of some of the very best in Irish songwriting.

Each track was personally chosen by Brian and range from artists such as Snow Patrol, The Cranberries and Damien Rice to Enya and Van Morrison. Ronan Keating and Brian team up to duet on U2’s epic ‘All I Want Is You’.

The album features phenomenal Irish talent Sinead O’Connor as she joins Brian for the Irish classic ‘Black Is The Colour’ to create their own hauntingly beautiful version. Classic rocker Christy Dignam completes the line-up on Aslan’s own ‘Crazy World’. Produced by both Brian and his long time co-producer Robert Conley, the album was recorded in Dublin and Sydney.

Brian said, "This album is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Ireland has produced some of the greatest songs in history and I decided I would put my own twist on a collection of my favourite ever Irish songs."

I loved Brian when he was in the group Westlife and I still love him as a solo artist. He has an amazing voice! This album was really great, eventhough all the songs are not original songs by him. I'm not a big fan of artist remaking other artist songs, but Brian is such a great singer, that I found myself enjoying his versions of these songs. I thought his verson of "All I Want Is You" by the group U2, was so much better than their verson. He and singer Ronan Keating did an awesome job with it and they put so much more power in it. He did a duet with Sinead O'Conner on the song "Black Is The Color" and it was good, eventhough I think he sounds so much better than she does. His version of The Cranberries song "Dreams" is almost as good as the original. If you know who Brian is and love him, then add this album to your collection!
