dave j Co-produced and written by Rick Yune who was taken by Max 'Coolbreeze' Templeton (Keith David) in as an orphan after their parents death oblivious by the viewers how with a natural born son, Miles (Bokeem Woodbine) of his own. Both are trained in martial arts but as they both grow older they would go leading separate lives. One works as head of security, while the other goes as a contract killer. Although they become estranged as soon as they became adults, they would eventually collide with one another when the latest hit list is on to a popular singer Angel (Dania Ramirez) Miles was supposed to protect playing in Bangkok. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this movie a month ago and honestly, I remember almost nothing about it. I recall some lines of dialogue being rather clever in a "oh that was pretty cool" kind of way (that is, fun but inconsequential), and I remember a few locations and cool shots here and there. But the story was so muffled, yet so anemic, that I feel like I was not able to record it to memory. This is all sad as it is directed by Jesse V Johnson, a competent action director, and has some decent talent in front of the camera as well. The fighting and shooting bits are reasonably entertaining if not exactly memorable, and the production itself feels....adequately done. If you have Netflix DVD or find this streaming, and you don't have anything else going on during a rainy evening, go ahead and turn it on -- It's not outright bad, it's just flat and uninteresting overall. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Though a substantial plot must not be expected of The Fifth Commandment, the action scenes were entertaining enough thus making this a fairly satisfying watch. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A stylish, thrilling, fast-paced and exhilarating action-packed thrill-ride. A slickly crafted film with lots of homage to the action classics of the 1980`s mixed in with the cool style and charisma of today. It`s packed with sensational fight scenes and gun battles that roar with intense velocity. A wickedly cool action-thriller. Rick Yune is terrific, he writes, produces and stars in the film showing his commitment and dedication to the piece. Bokeem Woodbine is fantastic. Keith David is excellent. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member boring story. So-so action. Too slow plot. It certainly CAN do worst Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
