Dan T Odd, quirky, clever, dark and sweetly humane all at once. Wonderful writing and snappy dialogue. A happy surprise amidst the many formulaic shows on the air. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/09/23 Full Review diane b Funny and sweet mixed with some dark humor. Star Greg Davies is joined each episode by a different set of supporting actors surrounding his clean up job. Each episode could be viewed as stand-alone as there isn't much storyline outside of each individual crime scene. It can be absurd at times (clues left behind at crime scenes to be found by the cleaner) but it's not meant to be anything other. This show will have you in stitches one moment and crying emotional tears the next. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Ryan Y Greg Davies has created a dark and humorous sitcom that pulls at the heartstrings and makes you wonder if this is just real-life attitude in a macabre scenario. He seems like such a likeable person in the show and you wonder if this is how he relates to people in the real world. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/25/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Graeme Blundell The Australian Bonham-Carter, a subtle underplayer who knows exactly how to pitch a performance, and Davies at times verging on vaudeville but capable of intense empathy. They are brilliant together. Jul 20, 2022 Full Review Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald Indulgent of id and nostalgic for everything Happy Mondays represents for the middle-aged, it’s a bit of low-key fun. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 7, 2022 Full Review Sean O'Grady Independent (UK) These self-contained comedy dramas are all cleverly done, and you have cameos from David Mitchell and Stephanie Cole to look forward to in the comings weeks. Rated: 4/5 Oct 29, 2021 Full Review Kevin Carr Fat Guys at the Movies This is light-hearted, but it does deal with real issues. Rated: 3.5/4 Mar 12, 2022 Full Review Tony Black Cultural Conversation A mordant darkness pervades The Cleaner, an appropriate sitcom for our time in some ways. Bloody, at times grim, but it will give you a hug by the end. Rated: 3/5 Nov 20, 2021 Full Review Joel Keller Decider The Cleaner works as a comedy, but it also works as light drama, as Davies has found an ingenious way to make each episode completely different.
