now if i can, i want to take a solemn moment for a second and remember someone very, very important to our team at global poverty project. recently, we lost a dear friend, bradden young. without him we would not be here in central park tonight. he was a hugely important member of our team. bradden was a true global citizen, and tonight, we honor him. as global citizens, we believe that extreme poverty is unfair, unjust, and absolutely unnecessary. we know that it can be ended forever by 2030. extreme poverty has plummeted in the last 30 years thanks to human ingenuity.
