Blanche D St.Clair, 90, formerly of Mercersburg, PA died March 11, 2023, at her home in Chambersburg, PA.
Born April 27, 1932 in Mercersburg, she was a daughter of the late Paul L. and Vada R. (Bryan) Divelbiss.
Blanche was a 1950 graduate of Lemasters High School.
She was a former employee of Stanley Company, Fairchild Industries. She was a bus driver for the Ted Baer, Poffenberger and Friese Transportation companies. Blanche was a Mercersburg area Tupperware consultant for 12 years, and was Tax Collector of Peters Township for 12 years.
he was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mercersburg, where she was a choir and altar guild member, Sunday School teacher, and directed the children’s choir.
Blanche loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoyed singing, traveling, listening to good music, flowers and gardening.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, J. Wayne St. Clair, who died September 18, 2008, and three siblings, Mabel Overweg, Warren Divelbiss and Charles Divelbiss.
Surviving family include three children, Vickie D. (David) Dayley, Mercersburg, Brett A. (Betty Jean) St.Clair, Hagerstown, and Wendi S. (Paul) Robinson, Chambersburg. Eight grandchildren, two step granddaughters, ten great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday March 20, 2023 in Trinity United Church of Christ, Mercersburg, with Reverend James Hughes officiating.
Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be served at First United Methodist Church, Mercersburg. Private interment in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
Blanche requested the omission of flowers.
