Morelos: Taxi driver runs over a mother with her two children in Cuernavaca

A video on networks shows the moment when a taxi driver runs over a woman and her two children when they were going to school in the municipality of Cuernavaca, Morelos.

In the images it can be seen how victims go through an avenue at the same time as the taxi, which does not stop and throws them, causing them to fall to the ground.

Immediately the vehicle backs up as the woman gets up to care for one of the minors. The other, apparently a girl, sits on the ground to one side.

The taxi driver fled the scene

In the video you see two men running to help the victims and try to stop the taxi driver, who continues on his way and flees the place.

The accident It happened on the morning of this Thursday, February 2. on Begonia street in the Satélite neighborhood of the Morelos capital.

According to social media users, the vehicle has a theft report, so they suspect that the person driving the unit was not its owner.

Taxi concession withdrawn

After the fact, the Secretary of Mobility and Transportation of the State reported that the public service unit was identified of the municipality of Jiutepec, with A343 LTS license plates, and the administrative process of concession revocationas well as the cancellation of the operator’s badge.

The foregoing is based on the Transportation Law of the State of Morelos, through the General Legal Department.

In a communiqué it was indicated that according to said law, in its article 71, the revocation of the concession proceeds in case of altering public order or roads, as well as using vehicles for the commission of a crime.

“In addition, in article 99, it is established within the obligations of the concessionaires and permit holders, to provide the service complying with all the provisions regarding traffic, transportation and roads”.

Also, the Article 137 orders the cancellation of the operator badgeamong other cases, due to abandonment of the vehicle or a person in the event of an accident.
