The '80s music video vixen, Tawny Kitaen, died on Friday, May 7, in Newport Beach, California. She was 59 years old. According to her brother, Jordan Kitaen, heartbreak was the reason behind her sudden demise. Speaking with TMZ, Jordan said that the police have confirmed to the family that the ‘Bachelor Party’ star’s death was not related to drugs, pills, or alcohol. No substances were found at her place during a probe. Her body also did not suggest that she had killed herself.

But the brother added that the death of their father, Terry Kitaen, on April 12 due to skin cancer left her crushed. According to him, Tawny could not handle his death. Reportedly, she was very close to her father and Jordan called their relationship an “uncanny connection”.

Harvey Weinstein rushed to hospital from Rikers Island with 'chest pain' just hours after 23-year sentence

When Terry died, the actress, who once starred in ‘The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik-Yak’, shared a photo of her with him on Twitter and wrote, “I love you dad, I’m at a lose [loss] for words, but I’ll find them, I promise. For now, I’ll just say I will miss you, more then any words I find could ever mean.”

Tawny’s death was announced on her Instagram page by her daughters -- the 28-year-old Wynter, 28, and Raine, 22 -- who wrote, “We are heartbroken and saddened to announce the death of our mom. We just want to say thank you for all of you, her fans and friends, for always showing her such support and love. You gave her life everyday. We miss her and love her and we know her legacy will live on forever.” Two days after her death, her dad’s remains were buried on Monday, May 10. Her family is reportedly yet to decide where she will be laid to rest.

Meanwhile, another report stated that Tawny once dated disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein. Weeks before her death, the 59-year-old spoke on David Yontef's ‘The Velvet Rope’ podcast, which was released on Tuesday, May 11.

She claimed, “There was a guy who was chasing after me. He really wanted to date me and was very persistent. I dated him for a little while. Nothing ever happened. He was a complete gentleman,” before telling it was none other than the convicted sex offender, Weinstein, currently behind bars.

She also said that they used to go together for dinner "every night" until she fell ill because of pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital. Tawny went on to say, “I loved the escargot from Wolfgang Puck's so every night this guy would go to Wolfgang Puck's and pick up my escargot and deliver it to me and sit with me in my room and chat. And it was Harvey Weinstein.”

She added: “So I didn't experience that other side of him. I never even saw it so imagine my shock when I heard that this was his MO with girls and not having that experience with him. I was completely blown away. And disgusted and there was a part of me that was like, 'No, not Harvey,' and then the girls kept piling up and up and the numbers kept growing and growing. It frightened me. It scared me but he never put me in that situation.”

Tawny also explained that at the time, she had a “three-month rule” under which she did not date anyone more than that. She dated Weinstein for two months. “At my age, I've never had a one-night stand,” the actress told Yontef. But when she was questioned what may have happened if her “three-month rule” was not there at the time, she remarked, “God knows.”
