Mr. Gary Frank
Williams, age 74, of Toc-
coa, passed away Tuesday,
April 16, 2024 in Augusta,
Ga.
A son of the late
Thomas E. Williams and
Addie Grace Wilmot
Williams, he was born
May 10, 1949 in Stephens
County, Georgia, where he
lived all his life. He was a
veteran of the U.S. Army,
having served in Vietnam.
He was a self-employed
farmer. He loved garden-
ing, fishing, bowling and
playing his guitar and
loved his dogs. He loved
his family and extended
family and had a great
love for his country. He
was of the Baptist faith
and a member of Rock
Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his par-
ents, he was preceded in
death by two sisters, Joan
Walker and Jackie Moore
and by a brother, Emory
Williams.
Survivors include his
daughters and sons-in-law,
Stephanie and Bucky Sim-
mons, Tonya Williams and
Brian Pace and Lindsey
Williams and Chase Ar-
rowood all of Toccoa;
grandchildren, Ashton
Simmons and Easton Ar-
rowood; sisters and broth-
er-in-law, Annie Mae
Davis and Bonda and Ter-
ry Sheriff both of Toccoa;
brothers and sister-in-law,
Hampton and Hilda
Williams of Snellville and
Danny Williams of Wynne,
Ark.; a number of nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services were
held Friday, April 19, 2024,
at 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest
Chapel of the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home with the
Rev. Harris Pressley offici-
ating. Military honors
were provided by the U.S.
Army Honor Guard.
The family received
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Friday
from 12 p.m. until the ser-
vice time at 2 p.m. Online
