Horrible school and staff. They do not care about you unless you are going to bring fame to the school. The woman in the billing office has NO Idea what she is doing and refuses to help you. If you graduate, that is great but you cannot do anything with your transcript. Instead of letting you do a payment plan, they sell it to a collections office that adds 600 dollars to it and will not let you have it. You can try to plead your case but they do not care because they just focus on money and profit. You cannot get a good job without your transcript so you pretty much wasted time getting a degree. Every other school has better policies set in place for this and will do everything in their power to help you. Not this one. Do not waste your time.
As a fashion design major, I had a brilliant head of the department. My main issues with Stephens, however, was the rather ineffective communication between staff and student, and having been given almost misleading information before enrollment. Ask students lots of questions before coming here!
I use to love Stephens but then I found out how selfish and greedy they really were. I worked hard to get into a program of my dreams but they refuse to give my transcript unless I pay 1000. When I was trying to get the money together, they sent it to a debt collections office that added an extra 800 dollars for profit. I begged Stephens to please let me make a payment plan with the debt collection or anything so I can get into this program and make a difference to my life but no, they only care about the money, now I’m working a dead end job barely getting by and cannot afford to pay for student loans. Stephens nor the debt collection will not get money and it makes no sense. I fully earned that degree and have already payed thousands of dollars in college loans. Stephens claims to care about the students but they don’t. They let me down and ruined my dreams.
