I'll add a round with someone helping stain if it's not evenI'd be very surprised if Stain has done anything comparable to Katana Man's level.
What speed range would you put it in?Yeah, I'd tend to agree, I legitimately think Stain has this. I mean, Stain can certainly cut him, based on other things that hurt him. Katana Man, outside of his one move, legitimately lost in a one-on-one fight to Aki. Aki... never moves like Stain does, ever. Stain only needs to cut him once, and that's it, Katana Man has to land a debilitating blow. I don't see him landing that blow outside of his super move, and that super move has a lot of caveats.
Firstly, it has a noticeable "charge time." Every time he uses it, he has to crouch down first, pause for a little bit (which we know because characters say something or move before he charges every single time he does it) and then launch in one direction. He doesn't seem to be able to react too well in this moment either, given how he gets bisected on Denji's hidden leg kick without even realising it. I don't particularly see Stain standing still enough to even let him get the move off, he's far too mobile when he fights.
Even if he does use that one move... to be honest, just looking at how Stain himself fights, he has some pretty crazy speed of his own. In terms of just pure presentation, he is portrayed as more physically capable than Shigaraki, who has his own "vanish from view of combatants due to speed" moment. He does things like this:
Which if taken literally is ludicrously fast. This is what, eight large slashes in short enough succession that the ice seems to be falling all at once. He follows this up by seemingly running up 4 or so stories before the ice has a chance to fall any appreciable distance.
I don't think that Katana man's speed when doing his supermove is really quantifiable beyond "fast" unfortunately, but his speed when he isn't can certainly be pegged in a given range, and it is much slower than this.
