Founded in 1874, Maritime College has attracted broad recognition as a national leader in higher education.
The oldest and largest maritime school in the country, Maritime College is located in historic Fort Schuyler, Bronx, New York, just minutes away from New York City.
Maritime offers undergraduate programs in engineering, naval architecture, marine transportation, maritime studies, marine environmental science and international transportation and trade. The engineering programs are ABET accredited.
Maritime students may pursue a U.S. Coast Guard License. These students participate in Maritime's structured Regiment of Cadets, as well as summer sea terms aboard the Empire State VI training ship. There is no military obligation for Maritime graduates unless they choose to participate in one of four ROTC programs.
Graduates enjoy a more than 90% career placement rate and earn some of the nation's highest average starting salaries.
