Less than one month into his tenure at UCA, Head Coach John Shulman has already made a splash on the recruiting trail.

Farmington senior Layne Taylor and Lake Hamilton senior Ty Robinson both announced their commitment to Shulman and the Bears in social media posts April 12.

Taylor, a point guard, is the No. 3 rated senior in Arkansas, according to 247 Sports recruiting rankings. He is also considered a Top 20 point guard overall in the 2024 class.

Taylor helped lead Farmington to the 4A State Championship game this season.

Prior to committing to Central Arkansas, Taylor signed with North Texas. He asked for a release from his NLI to move to a school closer to home.

Robinson, meanwhile, is the No. 4 rated senior in the state. The 6' 4" shooting guard helped lead Lake Hamilton to the 5A state title game in 2023. His Wolves came a buzzer-beating shot short of a return to the championship this season.

Now, the duo hope to bring their winning ways to Conway in their first season at UCA.
