Soul to Squeeze is a song originally recorded during the sessions for the band's fifth studio album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. It was released as a b-side to two singles from the album and then it went on to become a proper single in 1993 to promote the Coneheads movie OST. It became one of the band's most known songs and ended up appearing in their Greatest Hits compilation in 2003.
John Frusciante does not appear on the music video despite having written and played guitar on the song as he had already left the band when the song was released as a single. The song reached no.1 on the Billboard Alternative chart.
