J I really enjoyed this one. It was really funny and had a lot of heart. I would love to see a return to the PG-13 rom-com that seems like they had a blast making. There are a few scenes that should be cut out because this is more of a mature PG-13, but I enjoyed it overall. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Liam B I had a lot of fun watching this movie. Nicholson and Keaton have a great dynamic, and Reeves is absolutely charming. I would recommend this to any rom-com fan, it is simply a delightful experience. Something's Gotta Give, you are a film to love. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Ander G Good hangover Sunday night movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Audience Member Good story and acting. Nicholson is great! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review Dani G Very predictable, as expected. A typical rom-com but with veterans Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review matthias s "Something's Gotta Give" is a charming romantic comedy that brings together Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson in a delightful clash of generations. Nicholson, a successful playwright, finds himself in a love triangle with a younger woman and Keaton, the mother of his girlfriend. The movie is a rollercoaster of emotions, with witty banter and heartwarming moments set against the picturesque Hamptons backdrop. Keaton's vibrant portrayal and Nicholson's trademark charm make them a standout duo. While the film occasionally falls into predictable territory, it still entertains with its clever dialogue and themes of love, friendship, and self-discovery. "Something's Gotta Give" reminds us that age doesn't define matters of the heart, making it a delightful watch for rom-com enthusiasts. David Ansen Newsweek The movie, which ricochets between farce and poignancy, casts just enough romantic pixie dust to leave you smiling. It's certainly not the last word on the subject, but it's an amiable start. Mar 12, 2018 Full Review Antonia Quirke London Evening Standard It pays homage to the great pulse of warmth still, 27 years later, being given off by Annie Hall, and Keaton basks in the attention. You can hear the beat of her triumphant heart. Dec 20, 2017 Full Review Nell Minow Common Sense Media Delightful comedy, older teens and parents only. Rated: 4/5 Dec 28, 2010 Full Review Charlotte Harrison Charlotte Sometimes Goes to the Movies ...a romantic comedy classic... Sep 14, 2021 Full Review David Walsh World Socialist Web Site The film is dangerously slender and predictable, the happy ending apparently unavoidable. One can see the latter coming from a considerable distance, but one is helpless to do anything about it. Feb 15, 2021 Full Review Leigh Paatsch Herald Sun (Australia) A refreshing romantic comedy crowd-pleaser where the lead characters are not only unafraid to look their age, but they quite often act it too.
