EMILY SNYDER

Emily Snyder, MS, ATC, CSCS, NSCA-CPT, CHC, is an athletic trainer, strength and conditioning specialist, personal trainer, and health coach who has worked in college athletics for over 15 years. Emily has an intimate knowledge of the experiences and expectations of young athletes and uses her extensive involvement at both Division 1 and Division 3 colleges and universities to speak with young women and motivate them as they navigate their own health and wellness. Focusing on injury prevention, movement efficiency, body awareness, and athletic preparation, Emily emphasizes the power of a strong foundation of both the body and the mind to best position oneself for success. Emily mission is to provide support to athletes as they work toward their sport and personal goals while promoting healthy actions and self-sufficiency.

“I have been a certified athletic trainer since 2004. I grew up as a 3-sport athlete in Central Maine and knew from a young age that I 1) wanted to work in sports and 2) the power of the human body highly interested me. I learned quickly that I was entering a career that was full of excitement and opportunity, and I have been fortunate to work with athletes from around the US and the world, have lived in a handful of states, and have travelled all over with my teams. I have worked with athletes who competed in the Olympics, who have gone on to successful professional playing careers, and most importantly who have stayed in touch as their lives have grown following their playing career.”

GREG SNYDER

Greg Snyder is an experienced basketball coach with 14 years of coaching in the collegiate ranks (11 in Division I). For the past 7 years he has been at the University of Vermont, winning 5 regular season titles and 3 conference tournament titles, with appearances in the NCAA tournament. Greg has also had coaching stints at Division 1 Colgate University, Division 3 Hamilton College and SUNY Potsdam, and was part of a High School NEPSAC Class AA Championship while at St. Mark’s School in Massachusetts. He has had a hand in player development of athletes who have gone on to play in the NBA, Overseas, Division 1 and Division 3.

“I grew up in DeWitt, NY, across the street from a full court outdoor park and would shoot until it was too dark to even see the rim anymore. All of that shooting paid off as I was a 4-year varsity player at Jamesville-DeWitt HS and played my college career at SUNY Potsdam where I led the SUNYAC conference in 3PT percentage my senior year (48%). After college I have been fortunate to be a part of many great coaching staffs that have immeasurable basketball knowledge, our teams have won a lot of games, won a lot of championships, and through all this I have gained a great wealth of expertise and experience. Ultimately, the part of the job I have always enjoyed the most is spending day after day working with players on their games, perfecting the fundamentals and helping them push themselves to the next levels.”
